Vimarsh programme on "Dharma - The Soul of India" and "Seva" was organised by Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Jairampur under the coordination of Sri. Kento Riba, ADC, Jairampur with the guidance of Sri. Izmir Tikhak and Sri. B. K. Chena. A total of 18 attended the program conducted on 12th September 2015 from 11.00 AM and 12.40 PM in Sports Complex Hall, Jairampur.

Vimarsh programme for woman on the topic "Indian Womanhood" was conducted under the coordination of Su. Komali Mossang. 36 woman participated in the programme organised by Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Jairampur in Sports Complex Hall, Jairampur on 12th September 2015 in the afternoon.

Universal Brotherhood day was celebrated in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Jairampur on 11th September 2015. Sri. Laisam Simai, Hon'ble MLA, 51-Nampong (ST) AC was the chief guest of the function and Shri. Lemkhum Mossang, Ex-Chairman, Anchal Samiti (Jairampur Manmow Block & Vice-President, Nampong Anchal Block) was the guest of honour. A total of 654 people attended the programme including Parents and well-wishers.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidaylaya Jirdin celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day on 11th September 2015.The Chief guest was smt. Oni Padung circle officer of Aalo and the guest of honor was shri.Lido Sora the principal of govt. Middle School Pakkam. 438 people attended the program including parents, guardians, well-wishers and villagers. The chief guest spoke on the unity among us and appealed to the hostellers to study hard and considered the hostel as their extended home. The guest of honor spoke on the necessity of educating the girl child. Also he expressed that he came to know only on this UB day that the pioneer work and contribution by Eknathji for the establishment of VKV’s in Arunachal Pradesh.

“They live in Wisdom who sees themselves in all and all in them….” It is possible to change our life style, outlook and capacity to accommodate different people if the spiritual outlook is imbibed. We need to stand apart from the rest as we have a great responsibility to educate the younger ones about the spiritual wisdom and develop right perspective about life to the masses. One of the ways of attaining the same is to undertake Swadhyaya regularly and reflect on the same. The life and message of Mananeeya Eknathji would definitely help us to achieve this.

Launching of Vivek Kiran Project

Vivek Kiran, the new service project of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas, Arunachal Pradesh Trust in collaboration with Navajbai Ratan Tata Trust (NRTT), was launched at Kimin in Papum Pare District on 21st August 2015. Mananeeya Pravinji lit the lamp in the presence of Smt. Jaya Taba, CDPO, Sri Unnikrishnan.P.M, Overall Coordinator of Vivek Kiran, Sri Sanjay Karkare, Coordinator, Sri Omanakuttan, Principal, VKV Sher, and Anganwadi workers of Kimin Circle in a simple function to mark the beginning of the Project; it aims to strengthen the formal education system of Kimin circle. The project has 5 components viz, strengthening Pre- Primary education, English Language development Programme, Strengthening Science education & Life skill development Programme in 19 Government Primary and Middle schools of Kimin circle & setting up resource center at VKV Sher. It is a matter of great happiness that we could launch a project during the time of MEJSPV in the place where we started the first VKV in Arunachal Pradesh. It is indeed a rich tribute to Mananeeya Eknathji.

The new academic session has just started and you are coping with the rush of parents clamouring for admission for their wards. Such rush is a sign of immense faith in the system which is a matter of pride and joy for all of us. Session being started, I am sure that the schools have planned various programmes to ensure all round development of the students.

The news of grand celebration of International Yoga day is just pouring in from different schools and centers. Such a proud moment for all of us to celebrate the First ever International Day of Yoga! The sages and saints of our country must be giving a mystic smile from the heaven! Let us recall the speech of Shri. Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of Our country. He had said in the UN Assembly on September 2014 “yoga is an invaluable gift of our ancient tradition. It is not about exercise, it’s a path through which an individual can discover his sense of oneness with nature. It embodies unity, unity of the mind and the body, thought and action, restraint and fulfillment. On the whole, it’s a holistic approach to health and well-being.”

I was fortunate to represent the organization in two of the forum to speak about the importance of the Yoga. The first one was at Guwahati University on 21st June. The seat of higher learning was ready with all the preparation to celebrate the event befittingly. After my address, I could interact with the students and faculties over there. The second one was at Assam Medical College on the next day wherein the students of Pharmaceutical Department in Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh attended. Let this be a great opening for the world community to realize the message of our Land.

As the schools had annual vacation in April & May, did not share the events that had happened from March to June. Let us have a bird’s eye view of the same.

Dear sisters and brothers,

I was told by my coworkers about the visit of Film Crew of Man. Eknathji to VKVAPT office. The main actor and camera man were silver-tongued when they shared their experience to all the workers who assembled to hear them. The cameraman said “It is a great chance for me to shoot the scenes to portray the great personality of our country. I have tried to internalize his ideas & works and accordingly I have paid a great attention to make each and every scene free from any factual errors. For Example whenever Eknathji in the film addressed the Karyakartas, I have paid special attention to see that all other actor Karyakartas are sitting in rows and columns”.

I am convinced the fact that everyone will be inspired if they open their mind to receive Swami Vivekananda and Mananeeya Eknathji. Both of them live beyond death by inspiring millions showing the path of selfless service to the humanity..

Let us all imbibe those great ideals in our life to enable us to undertake noble tasks in our life.

There are many things to share with you all. Let me give brief highlights of all the important activities of January and February for the information of all:-

Celebration of National Youth Day
National Youth Day was celebrated in grand manner in all the VKVs of Arunachal Pradesh which were witnessed by a large numbers of parents and well wishers along with students. Students presented Cultural programs in all the schools. Many dignitaries graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

There is an air of wishing New Year everywhere! In our country there are many new year day. Some of them are Ugadi, Rongali Bihu, Gudi Padwa, Puthandu, Vishu, Navreh, Vishuva Sankranti, Cheti Chand, Chaitti etc. All these celebrations have the common things like sharing of joy having religious significance and a unique message for each. Even though the present New Year Celebration in January has one important aspect that is the sharing of Joy, we can add many more dimensions to it to make it more meaningful.

This occasion can also be utilized by making new resolutions, fresh commitments and look forth at new beginnings. Let us all refresh our commitment towards the activities we have undertaken and also to begin taking initiatives to bring improvement wherever it is required.

The just ended month has witnessed various activities in all the schools. Let us take a glance of some of the important activities:-

VKV shines in National Children’s Science Congress
The project of Millo Dacha of VKV Roing secured A+ in the National level competition and found place in the best 20 projects selected in the National Level Children’s Science Congress held at Bangalore from 27th to 31st December 2014.

Kr. Chau Jeyhoung Jenowof VKV Amliang has won special award for the best Poster presentation in the National Level.

Congratulations to both of them.

Total 8 students from various VKVs of Arunachal Pradesh participated in the National level Children’s Science Congress held at Bangalore from 27th to 31st December 2014.

Dear Sisters and Brothers!

It was veritably a great opportunity for me to listen directly to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of our country at New Delhi in the National Level Launching of Mananeeya Eknathji Janma Shati Parva. The everlasting experience gives a great conviction for the need of ‘Man Making”. The fact that a poor lad who sold tea in the streets has become the most respected Prime Minister of our country and one of the popular faces in the world also surges an inspiring spark in all of us.

The members of the great organization which he associated during boyhood and early youth period played an important role to groom him by helping him to internalize the values in life which propelled him to work diligently for the Nation.

It was a great pleasure to know the contribution of Swargeeya Eknathji to groom him. It was a great cogitating session wherein he expressed conscious effort of Eknathji which has made a great change in him. He said “He had the habit of taking a nap after lunch everyday. Eknathji noticed this habit of him and one day he asked him to accompany him for a walk immediately after lunch. Eknathji did not mention anything of that but he took him for a walk in the preceding days also. After some days, he could get rid of that habit altogether”. Shri Narendra Modi became eloquent to recount many more such incidents.

That experience sharing of Shri Narendra Modiji made me to remember the strength giving poem which I learnt in my schooling.

    I shot an arrow into the air,

                It fell to earth, I knew not where;

                            I breathed a song into the air,

Truly, good words and actions would remain in the hearts of others. In the same way, Swargeeya Eknathji lives in the heart of millions of people as a perennial source of inspiration.
