Reaching out to the neighbouring schools- Sadgamaya Shibir

Not restricting only to the school Campus, VKVs of Arunachal Pradesh have been extending their activity to the neighboring areas. Sadgamaya Shibir is such an activity. The schools made elaborate Sampark with the nearby schools to encourage students to take part in the Shibir which were conducted in the first week of the month. 1066 students from more than 40 Govt and private schools participated in the shibirs held as residential for three days in the residential schools and for a day in the day scholar schools. The details of the same has been given below

Greetings from Breezy Meadows on the occasion of Navaratri.

The month of September has seen a lot of festivals and other activities even though the students were all busy with preparations for the SA I examinations.

We were very glad when some Principals informed that they were invited along with other teachers for felicitation on the occasion of the teachers’ Day, 2016bypeople and organizations other than student community. Students of the VKVs,of course, organize grand programs on the occasion of Teacher’s Day to express their indebtedness towards the significant tasks the teachers are performing to groom them as responsible citizens and infuse all the life skills and eternal values.

The accolade which is bestowed on the teachers has been fundamental in the Indian culture from time immemorial. In the modern time, the most conspicuous acknowledgement of teachers in steering the individuals and the society has been found expressed by the most revered Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the former President and renowned Scientist of India. Dr. Kalam was so indebted to his teachers that in umpteen occasions he mentioned their role in molding his life. On one occasion, Dr. Kalam, when asked by the students how he could be so optimistic about the future of the nation amidst all the disheartening occurrences, he pointed out to a mother and a teacher and told “Till they are there, there is no question of doubt”.

When the society relies so much on the teachers, it is our responsibility to come up to the expectations. Let us resolve to give the best to our students.

There were many activities conducted in various VKVs of Arunachal Pradesh in this month to be shared:

Inter VKV Chess Competition

The Sub junior category was only up to school level.

The inauguration of the Tournament on 3rd September was graced by Sri Nabam Takang, Deputy Director of Health Services, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh, as the Chief Guest who motivated the competitors in his inaugural speech. The closing ceremony was graced by Sri TadarApa, Director of Sports, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh.  Sri Tapi Shah and Taba Aman, Senior arbiters from Chess Federation of India were the key arbiters to conduct the Tournament. Sri P.M.Unnikrishnan, Education Officer, VKVAPT was also present in the valedictory program.

Dear all,

I have heard the following Zen story.

A martial arts student went to his teacher and said earnestly, “I am devoted to studying your martial system. How long will it take me to master it?”

The teacher’s reply was casual, “Ten years.” Impatiently, the student answered, “But I want to master it faster than that. I will work very hard. I will practice every day, ten or more hours a day if I have to. How long will it take then?”

The teacher thought for a moment, “20 years”.

In life we require Sadhana and Shradha to live a meaningful and successful life. It should be our earnest efforts to see that our students are growing with both qualities which would help them to master the basic skills from School education.

There are many things to share which had happened during the last two months.
