
VKV Balijan observed the Sadhana Diwas, in the birth anniversary of Sri. Eknath Ranadeji’s on 19th November 2018 in the school. While addressing the students and teaching staff in the morning assembly, Sri. Amitava Mondal, Science Teacher highlighted the contribution of Sri. Eknath Ranadeji as a social reformer as well as the significance of One Life One Mission, in one’s on life. As a part of the observation, the school conducted a Quiz Competition on the topic: Life of Eknath Ranade, Vivekananda Kendra and Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas in Arunachal Pradesh for the Classes VI to IX in House-wise, keeping in mind for upgrading the contribution of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya towards the society, as a whole. A drawing competition was organised collectively in the prayer hall on “Eknath Ranadeji Photo” for Primary classes.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Balijan celebrated Swatchha Bharat Abhiyan Programme to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatama Gandhi, the Father of Nation on 2nd October 2018. As a part of the programme, entire students of VKV Balijan, teaching and non-teaching staffs have undertaken a cleanliness drive programme in the school premises as well as in and around Balijan town at 7am. It is a matter of pride that a host of eminent personalities were also joined in this noble attempt including Balijan administration and other various government departments.

VKV Balijan celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day on 11th Sept. 2018. Sri Marker Padu, JE Electrical graced the occasion as chief Guest. Sri T.M Sathian welcomed the august audience. Sri B.D Nagarale has extented the vote of thanks. Altogether 500 people witnessed the cultural programmes which was conducted at the prayer hall.

VKV Balijan conducted a Parents Teachers Meet of Classes VIII ,IX & X on 18th August 2018 at 10 am in the school prayer hall. Out of 96 students, 78 parents adjusted their time to attend the meeting. Meeting started with Mangalacharanam. Sri. T.M. Sathian, Principal VKV Balijan , in his welcome address, highlighted the steps taken to improve the academic standard of the students during the session.
A cheque worth Rs. 1800/- and a Certificate of Merit issued by DDSE for the Scholarship winners of NMMS was distributed on the same day.
Sri. Tana Sania, on behalf of parents, expressed his gratitude for organizing such a programme and extended all possible help to school.
After the Meeting, Report Card of the Periodic Test was distributed in the presence of their ward by respective class teachers.

Kum. Nabam Akhima of class ix has secured 1st Position in District Level Science Seminar 2018 at Higher Secondary school, Doimukh.
Now she is proceed to State Level Science Seminar at Itanagar.

Sargam Camp 2018 started at VKV Balijan on 17th July 2018. Students of VKV Dollungmukh, VKV Seijosa,VKV Nivedita Vihar,VKV Itanagar,VKV Nirjuli,VKV Vivek Vihar, VKV PTC Banderdewa and VKV Balijan are attending for the same. Inuagural ceremony conducted at 8:30 am in the prayer hall. Sri T.M. Sathain, Principal VKV Balijan formally welcomed the participants, resource persons and escort teachers. Sri Krishna Kumar, Member VKVAPT briefed the significance of the Sargam Camp.

VKV Balijan observed Swami Vivekananda Maha Samadhi Day on 4th July 2018. Sri. S.B. Dixit Sir, Ex-Education Officer, VKV APT Dibrugarh spoke on the significance of the occasion in the morning assembly. He highlighted the contribution of Swami Vivekananda as a social reformer and advised the students to follow the footprints of Swami Vivekananda. As a part of the programme, the teachers and students paid a rich floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda.
In this connection, the school organised a literary programme in four categories during last period:
- Identification of pictures ( Swami Vivekananda’s life and Vivekananda Kendra)- Classes I, & II
- Swamiji’s Quotation Writing (minimum 20 Numbers) – Classes III, IV & V
- Essay Writing ( Arise, Awake: Stop Not Till the Goal is Reached) – Classes VI,VII & VIII
- Speech Competition ( I Love My Country: India) Classes IX & X

This day was observed in school with full of enthusiasm from students and staff. On 21st June Yoga demonstration, asanas & practice of Yoga for daily life was conducted for classes I to X during 1st and 2nd period by Smt. Anjali Das. Also as per announcement all students performed “Surya Namaskar” perfectly. Their chanting of Bij Mantra, Different type of standing Postures, Position, Synchronization and Involvement of all was wonderful.
Smt. Anjali Das advised students to continue the practice of “Surya Namaskar” for becoming healthy while highlighting the importance of the day. The programme was witnessed by 336 students,14 teachers and 4 Grade IV Staff.
Also Smt. Anjali Das along with five students taught Yoga and exercises to Govt. School student and public in Public Ground Auditorium Balijan from 19th onward. On 21st June nearby 70 Govt. School students of Balijan attended Yoga Day in Public Ground Auditorium with eagerness.
