VKV Balijan SS Latest News

VKV Balijan received a Certificate from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India for successfully organizing the FIT India Freedom Run 2.0.: from 13th August to 02nd October 2021.   The programme was organized on 5th Septemebr 2021 (Sunday)  at 6am  in the campus by participating all the teaching , non-teaching and campus children.
 

I am glad to inform you that VKV Balijan formally inaugurated ATL Lab in the school at 9.30am on 22nd August 2021.   Dr. Taw Mala, Chief Medical Officer CHC Balijan  graced the occasion as Chief Guest.  As a part of the inaugural ceremony, a small programme was organised in the lab wherein students of the neighboring area and the Atal Advisory Committee Members, Sri. Kino Naturng & Sri. Pradip Phil  was also present along with the teaching and non-teaching staff. While addressing the audience, she lauded the purpose of establishing ATL Lab in a selected school like VKV Balijan.

 
The entire programme was co-ordinated by Sri. Amitava Mondal ATL In-charge of VKV Balijan, assisted by Su. Geetashree Bora, Science Teacher. 
 
As per the instruction, Classes IX & X converted into ATL lab wherein a small modification like painting, patch works etc, were done as a preliminary works for establishing ATL Lab. Electrification of the room, as per the norms of ATL, yet to be carried out due to the non-availability of electrician at this juncture. Hope we would be completing the said works at the earliest possible.

VKV Balijan observed Eknathji Punyathi on 22nd August 2021 as Shrmadhan in the Campus. As part of the programme, all the teaching and non-teaching of the Vidyalaya became part of the cleaning and plantation drive programme after the morning prayer.  
Su. Latashree Deo spoke on the significance of the Day. "Ekanthji was a man of perfection, So he was inspired by many people." she said.  
 
 
I also take note of informing you that VKV Balijan  celebrated Rakshabandhan today with religious fervour.  Sri. T.M. Sathian Principal welcomed all the dignitaries,  Sri. Mukul Rastogi was the chief guest of the programme.  Smt. Anjali Das spoke on the significance of the day.  "Celebration of Rakshbandhan helped us  to infuse a unity as a whole into the mind of the people''she said. 
 

VKV Balijan celebrated 75th Independence Day in a colourful way. 
As a part of the programme, the school conducted various activities to commemorate the 75th Independence Day of India on various occasions. These are: Advising parents and students singing Rashtragann at home on the occasion of Independence Day, Dressing up as a freedom fighter (of their own choice) and singing National Anthem and online quiz competition on Freedom Fighter/Movement for the students of class VIII-X.

To begin with the celebration of Independence Day on 15th August 2021, Sri. T.M. Sathian Principal VKV Balijan hoisted the Tricolour at 7am in the school wherein all teaching and non-teaching staff with their family members became the part of the celebration ( 42 members). While addressing the gathering Sri. Mukul Rastogi, Kendra Elder implied the importance of "Vocal for Local" for achieving self-reliance.  The programme ended with a patriotic song sung by the campus children.
 
As usual, VKV students and teachers attended a public programme organised by the local administration in Balijan General Ground. 
 

On 21st June 2021, A yoga session on the occasion of International Yoga Day 2021, was held in the school premises of VKV Balijan to encourage yoga as part of our daily life. The theme for this year International Yoga Day 2021is 'Yoga for well-being’. Participants of the session discussed how yoga has assumed much more significance during the COVID-19 pandemic & has emerged as a global trend, thepivotal role it plays in rejuvenating our mind and the body, leading to a healthier lifestyle. Instructor for this Yoga session were Mr. Sanjit Badhuri&Mr. Pankaj Rastogi. They have emphasised that Yoga not only provides physical and mental relaxation but also develops strength & resilience. The numerous benefits of Yoga make it a popular practice for people across the globe, especially in times of a pandemic when mental & physical health is under stress. A brief talk session was also conducted in which Ms Jumpi Lona highlighted how throughout the world the practice of Yoga can promote the holistic health of every individual. With the COVID-19 pandemic exacerbating psychological suffering and mental health problems, many people have been embracing Yoga to stay healthy and to fight isolation and depression. Yoga is also playing an important role in the psychosocial care and rehabilitation of COVID-19 patients in quarantine and isolation. Surya namaskar,Kapalabhati,Anulom-Viloma, Nadi Sodhana, Bhramri Pranayama were practiced during the session.

Iam glad to inform you that Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Balijan celebrated Swami Vivekananda Jayanti as “National Youth Day” on 12th January 2021 at 11 am in the School premise wherein 62 parents, 65 students, 24 teaching and Non-teaching Staffs and 6 SSG members attended to witness the programme.

Sri Nabam Atung, JE, PHE,  Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Balijan Division graced the occasion as Chief Guest. While addressing the audience, he called up on the people to take up at least any one quote of Swami Vivekananda and try to imply it one’s life.  Sri S.C Dixit, EO, Papumpare Cluster VKV APT Dibrugarh urged the people “ the celebration of Swamiji’s birthday will have a great impact, if we follow the footprint of Swami Vivekananda,  rather limiting in a festive spirit.”  

As a part of the programme, a colourful cultural programme was organised like local dance, patriotic song, patriotic drama etc. by the students of class IX and X, campus children and Snehavardhini group of VKV Balijan.

I, also would like to inform you that, to boost the morale of the class X students in the forthcoming CBSE Exam, the Hon’ble Chief Guest has announced  a cash award of Rs 20,000/-, Rs 10,000/-, and Rs 5,000/- for those students who are going to place as first, second and third  position respectively in the CBSE Exam 2020-21

VKV Balijan celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day on 11th September 2020 at 9.30am wherein 48 members attended the programme.

At the outset, Kr. Nirvrit Das of Class V gave away a speech on life story of Swami Vivekananda.  As usual, to commemorate the historical speech of Swami Vivekananda  in Chicago World Religious Parliament, Km. Anugraha Sathian of Class IX delivered Swamiji’s Chicago Speech. As a part of the programme, the students of VKV Balijan campus sang a patriotic song, “ Ham Bharth ki santhan hai…….”

In addition, I am very happy to inform you that the entire VKV Balijan family also become the part of the Webinar organized by Vivekananda Vedic Foundation on Universal Brotherhood Day.

VKV Balijan observed Mananeeya Eknathji Punyatithi on 22nd August 2020 at 10am in the prayer hall wherein all staff members with family were present. Altogether, 48 members attended the programme. The campus students paid a rich tribute to Eknathiji by singing a song " Vandhana abhinandhana......". While addressing the audience, Smt. Anjali Das pointed out that Mananeeya Eknathji was the complete embodiment of ideals and principles. These ideals and principles helped to lay down the foundation of a Man Making and Nation Building organization in India.
As a part of the observation, we have decided to ensure our students are also in this programme. In this regard, the students of class VI - VIII are asked to draw the picture of Mananeeya Eknathji and Lord Ganesh and the same was asked to send the respective class teachers personal whatsapp. It was a small step by us to ensure at least a photo of Eknathji at their home. I am happy to inform you that it was widely accepted by them and had a tremendous response from them. The students of Class IX and X are also asked to write an essay on Eknathji.
