Latashree Deo made this year's beautiful Ganesh idol in the campus itself for puja purposes. Snehavardhini group was also made available in the puja activities especially for making prasad (Modhak).Sri. J.P. VKV Balijan celebrated 74th Independence Day today in the school premises. Altogether 51 people attended in the programme. . Sri. T.M. Sathian Principal VKV Balijan hoisted the Tricolor Flag at 7.15am in the midst of singing National Anthem.As a part of the programme, Students of VKV Balijan campus sang a melodious patriotic song guided by Smt. Anjali Das.

VKV Balijan observed Maha Samadhi Day (Swami Vivekananda Samadhi Day) on 4th July 2020 at 6.30pm in the School Prayer Hall. Sri. Amitava Mondal addressed small gatherings to mark the occasion. “Swami Vivekananda said that work is worship. We worship God through our karma or action. So, stop not till the goal is achieved.


VKV Balijan conducted this years’ Matru Puja for the outgoing students of Class X in the School Prayer Hall on 06th February 2020 with religious fervour. The programme began with amidst chanting of Mangalacharan by the students of Class IX. Sri. T.M. Sathian, Principal VKV Balijan formally welcomed the Honourable Chief Guest, Smt. Radhelu Chai Techi, Chairperson, Women Commission, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Sri. Giamde Taming, General Secretary VKV Alumni Association, Sri. S C. Dixit, Education Officer & Cluster In-charge VKV APT, Papaumpare District , Parents and other dignitaries.
Smt. Anjali Das spoke on the significance of the day. While addressing, Smt. Radhelu Chai Techi called up on the students to infuse the values that imbibed from VKV and teachings of Swami Vivekananda in their life.
Sri. Giamde Taming and Sri. SC Dixit also addressed them and extended their best wishes in the forthcoming CBSE Examination.
As a part of the programme, parents and students were allowed to share their experience, before concluding the entire activity. They expressed their humble gratefulness to VKVs for creating such an exquisite moment which can be cherished in their life forever.
Altogether, 18 parents attended (out of 19) in the programme.

VKV Balijan celebrated Republic Day on 26th January 2020 in the school campus with pride and patriotic zeal. 71st Republic Day celebration began with a huge procession in the early morning with band troupe. Barring few students, the entire school attended in the morning procession. Immediately after the morning procession, Sri. T.M. Sathian Principal VKV Balijan unfurled the National Flag at 7am in the midst of singing National Anthem. While addressing the students and other staff members, he recalled the contribution of freedom fighters to set India free from the British yoke. “Republic means, a country where people acts as supreme power and elect their own representatives without the interference of outside forces”, he said.
The programme ended with a patriotic song sung by Class X students, “Desh hame detha hai sabb kuch………”
I am happy to inform you that the entire VKV Balijan family also attended in the public function at Balijan Public ground wherein our Band troupe’s, March Past and PT display students’ exemplary performance won the hearts of every walk of life.

New hostel building of VKV Balijan has been inaugurated on 27th January 2020 in the presence of Mananeeya Aparna Didi Secretary of VKV AP Trust by Sri. D. Bhanudas, General Secretary of Vivekananda Kendra & Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Kanayakumari. On this auspicious occasion, a puja was conducted in the new building wherein both the Kendra elders were present. After conducting the Puja with religious fervour, we have organised a public programme for the parents of Days Scholar and hostellers, well wishers, SSG Members, VKV Alumni members and officials of various government departments. While addressing, Mananeeya Aparna Didi recalled the contribution of the many to come up such a magnificent building in VKV Balijan. Sri. D. Bhanudasji, in his key note address, highlighted the purpose of opening hostel for boys and girls in Arunachal Pradesh by Vivekananda Kendra. “Our country is in great demand of once more the personalities like Jhansi Ki Rani, Khudiram Bose, Bhagat Singh, Swami Vivekananda, Sister Nivedita…..”, he said. Sri. Bhanudasji also apprised the role played by Sri. Eknathji to come up a magnificent monument in the name of Swami Vivekananda in the southernmost tip of India.
As a part of the programme, the Engineer, the architect and the contractors of the building were duly felicitated by Sri. Bhanuji.
To commemorate the occasion, the students of VKV Balijan presented small and colourful cultural programmes before the august audience.
At the outset, Sri. T.M. Sathian, Principal VKV Balijan formally welcomed the honourable guests and other invitees. Sri. J.P. Mishra extended the vote of thanks. The entire proceedings was presided by Sri. Balasaheb D. Nagarale.

VKV Balijan celebrated Swami Vivekananda Birth Anniversary as National Youth Day in the school premises today. Sri. T.M. Sathian, Principal VKV Balijan formally welcomed the Honourable Chief Guest Sri. Rinchin Dorjee, Ex- Chairman APSC and VKV APT Trustee and Sri. Rinchin Norbu, Kameng Cluster in-Charge VKVAP Trust and august audience.
While addressing the parents, Sri. Rinchin Dorjee called up on to maintain a strong bond between teachers and students to create a congenial atmosphere in the school and at home. Sri. Rinchin Norbu, in his key note address, highlighted the contribution rendered by Vivekananda Kendra to achieve the twin goals, Man Making and Nation Building. “ An urge to know about Swami Vivekananda more and more will definitely take you to be pure, perfect and a true patriot as well” , he said.
As a part of the programme, a cultural event was organised on the theme “Ek Bharat Vijayi Bharat” on the auspicious occasion of the completion of 50 years of Vivekananda Rock Memorial at Kanyakumari. Programmes like Patriotic Song, Dance on cultural unity and Dance on Bharat Mata etc. are the highlight of the Cultural programmes.
As a part of the aprogramme, Sri. Rinchin Dorjee inaugurated Drawing Exhibition on the topic “ Samartha Bharat Parva” and Craft sale stall.
Altogether, 450 people could witness the programme.
