VKV Balijan celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and dignity on 15th August 2019. I am happy to note that every student and teachers contributed towards its preparation to mark the occasion as successful one. The School organised a Morning Procession with bands wherein entire students and teaching staffs participated. The procession took out to nearby village and ended in school gate. After the procession, Sri. T.M. Sathian, Principal VKV Balijan hoisted the National flag in the campus at 7am. While addressing the gathering, he informed about the sacrifices made by our soldiers and freedom fighters like, Gandhiji, Subhash Chandra Bose, Veer Savarkar etc. for the sake of our freedom and safety.

After the school programme, the entire students and teachers attended the public function at Balijan ground wherein our student’s outstanding performance such as band display, dumple and March past won the hearts of every walk of life.

I am glad to inform you that VKV Balijan bagged first and second prize in march past for girls and boys respectively.

VKV Balijan also celebrated Rakshabandhan with religious fervour. It was attended by 356 students, 22 teaching and non-teaching staffs and two School Supporting Group Members. Sri. J.P. Mishra, Sanskrit Teacher spoke on the significance of celebrating Rakshabandhan in the present situation. “It is a festival that brings a sense of collective belongingness among all the citizen of India.”, he said. “All in all, the celebration of Rakshabandhan festival which signifies the beautiful family bond of trust and protection between brother and sister”, he continued. At last sweets were distributed among students, teachers and other well wishers.
