It was an enriching experience for me to participate in the Indigenous Faith Day celebrations and also to address the huge gathering at Seppa on 1st December. After my address one of them proudly said that “We Janjatis are not ‘backward’, we haven’t been ‘left behind’. We chose to live on our land, in our own ways. We have unique cultural practices which are to be nourished and protected” It reminded me of the saying that “Diversity is Divine Will”.

As educators we need to stand for nourishing the rich cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh: the dawn lit mountain, which is also termed as ‘Gateway to serenity’.

There are many encouraging information to share with you all about the functioning of our schools:-

It has been one of the principles of my life not to be ashamed of my own ancestors.  I am one of the proudest men ever born, but let me tell you frankly, it is not for me, but on account of my ancestry.  The more I have studied the past, the more I have looked back, more and more has this pride come to me, and it has given me the strength and courage of conviction, raised me up from the dust of the earth, and set me working out that great plan laid out by those great ancestors of ours.

-: Swami Vivekananda.
