Alert VKV students saved Zoo at Itanagar from wildfire
The Class-IX Students of VKV, Chimpu,   garnered wide ovation by showing the presence of mind to inform the Zoo authority while detecting origin of wild fire occurred in the Biological Park at Itanagar on 29th January 2014 at about 10.00 am. The students were doing their project study on wild animals in the park along with their science Teacher, KK Subramanian. Timely information to the zoo authority saved a devastation that would have happened due to the fire engulfed on a very old tree. The leading dailies of Itanagar covered this exemplary act of our students.

We are all debtors to the world and the world does not owe us anything. It is a great privilege for all of us to be allowed to do anything for the world. In helping the world we really help ourselves.

Swami Vivekananda
