Our Team:  Top 9 Child Scientists from Arunachal Pradesh Participated in this programme along with their Escort Teacher Smt Mitarani Gantayat (VKV Wessang), Sri Sanjay Yadav (VKV Nirjuli) and Sri Manoj Saha (VKV ROing), Sri Debojit Mahanta State Co-Ordinator of NCSC, AP and Sri Lombi Sir Academic Co-ordinator of Arunachal Pradesh.

Inauguration Programme: The Programme was held at Ga-Di-Ma auditorium of VIIT, Baramati. It started with lighting of the lamp and a Vigyan Geet by students of  Vidya Pratishthan. The Chief guest of the Function was Union Minister Hon Shri Harsha Vardhan (Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Earth Science, Govt. Of India). Mrs Sunetra Pawar ( Director & Trustee, VP) welcomed the dignitaries on the dais. Er. Sujeet Banarjee , National Co-ordinator of NCSC briefed that students from every states, Union Territory, The East Asian  Countries and Gulf countries have participated in this Science Congress. Mrs Supriya Sule (MP Govt. Of India) focused on the change Science and Technology has brought in our life. In his speech Dr. Harsha Vardhan appreciated the work done by students. Hon Shri Sarad Chandra Pawar (MP, Rajya Sabha) announced Scholarship and a Science Park for Baramati. The Programme ended with a Vote of Thanks by Adv. A. V. Prabhune (Vice President, Vidya Pratishthan) .

Science based Pictorial Journey of India through Rally :-

  • Colourful and informative Rally by VP and NCSC participants.
  • Rally highlighted all the sub themes of 24th NCSC very effectively.
  • Hon’able MP Mrs Supriya Sule unfurled the National flag and in her speech complimented the efforts of students and teachers for spreading awareness of Science.
  • A Unique pledge in Sanskrit by students reaffirming commitment towards Sustainable Development.
  • The Rally inculcated values such as discipline & tolerance.

Face to Face:- A Scientist activity was inaugurated with the lecture of Dr. Arvind Natu. He focus on ‘Learning science from nature. This was a great programmes where the new scientist could clear their doubt in different aspect. Every day it was taking place in GA-Di-Ma with many Scientists Like: Dr H.C. Pradhan(Former Director, HBCSE, TIFR), Dr. Y.K. Dikshit(Retd. Scientist from ISRO), Dr. Rajendra Kumar etc.

Escort Teacher Workshop: The 24th NCSC offered an intellectual feast for the escort teaches through the workshops on intellectual property rights by Kum. Ananyaa Banarjee . She explained various issues associated with intellectual property rights. The Web-based science projects by Dr. Yogesh Kulkarni. He highlighted the use of websites for generating secondary data for science projects which explored new avenues. Dr. Meena Sharma took the session on Hands on Experiment on Electrical & Electronics; she demonstrated a few hands on activities like resistance as current limiter. Dr Atul Mody focused on the activity based learning ; he emphasized that we cannot  learn physics easily in theoretical way. We need to have activity based learning where students come out of their phobia of physics.

Activity Center:  A channel of Knowledge; where our students learnt so many things. nakes show, Robotics , Planetarium, Experiment on Lights, TANGRAM, IUC AA etc were some of the activities.

Technical Tour to K.V.K. Sharadanagar:- The co-ordinator of Technical Tour Mr Suryakanta Mundhe, Principal of Sharada Vidyaniketan, Sharadanagar explained the tour to the participants of NCSC 2016. More than 350 volunteers worked in 75 groups to escort the visitors to different plots in KVK. Sericulture, apiculture, fishery, soil lab, poly house, bio-lab, water reservoirs, automation control unit, poultry farm, sugarcane field, orange field, grafting techniques of plants, weather forecasting  etc were some of the sites .

Nature walk with Expert Talk: “Nakshatra” garden of VP provided enriching, exhilarating and unique experience to the participants of NCSC 2016. It gave a sense of fulfilment to all the budding scientist.

Technical Session:- It  was divided into two round. Round 1 was presentation round and Round 2 was Oral Round.  700 participants were there including the physically challenged children.

Closing Ceremony:- Programme started with Lighting of the lamp followed by Vigyan geet. The Chief Guest was Hon HRD Minister Sri Prakash Javadkar, Dr T.P. Raghunath (Chairman of NAC), Dr Miland Kulkarni Scientist & Shri Sarad Chandra Pawar (President of VP & MP Rajya Sabha). Shri Prakash Javadkar appreciated the child scientist for their innovations. He announced a programme “Innovation in Education” which is going to start on March 2017 at Delhi. Among 700 participants 15 best projects selected. The participants received their certificate along with feedback sheet.

The NCSC 2016 will remain memorable for all the students and the escort teachers.
