VKV-Longding-inaugurationVKV Longding, a school exclusively for girls set up at picturesque location some 3 kilometers from Longding town began its journey towards nation building as Swami Vivekananda envisaged , here on Thursday.

The "Varsharamba Puja" program to mark the beginning of a new session was attended by Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas Arunachal Pradesh Trust, Su.  Aparna Didi , Education Officer VKVAPT Unikrsihnan, VKV alumni, students and their parents.

Secretary Aparna Palekar Didi, speaking on the occasion informed that VKV Longding now has joined the family of 38 other VKVs in Arunachal. She sought the cooperation of the general public , government and VKV alumni for smooth functioning of the school as she opined that the support of the parents and the local community is as important as that of student and school management team. "In that way we can uphold the image and sanctity of the school it is known for." She reiterated.

Meanwhile Hon'ble MLA Longding Sh Tanpho Wangnaw in his message expressed his gratitude to the government of AP, and the authority of VKVAPT for establishment of the school at Longding, while he also lauded the people of Senua for donation of land for the purpose. " I am hopeful that the VKV authority and teaching staff of the school will impart quality education to my people of Longding by establishing the much needed VKV school." He informed.

Education Officer, VKVAPT Shri Unikrishnan in his brief speech remembered former Longding MLA Sh Thangwang Wangham for his indispensable role in realising VKV school at Longding.
"He personally visited the office of VKVAPT to convince his intention to set up a VKV at Longding and to monitor the movement of files at each step so that the files don't get delayed unnecessarily", he said.

He also thanked former Longding DC Himanshu Gupta for his role in speeding up the establishment of VKV Longding.
Later Principal VKV Longding, Shri Dinesh Nair sought the cooperation of the people of Longding in running the school, who read out certain dos and don't before the parents. He assured that the students would be imparted the best education.

Prayers and rituals were performed to invoke the blessings of God for the newly inaugurated school.

VKV Alumni led by Dr Wangnai Wangsu presented a beautiful rendition of "Saraswati Vandana."

Much to the delight of the parents, two private buses has also been arranged to ferry the children at nominal fees.
