 The Utsarg Samaroh for the Class X students were conducted for all the Class X students on different dates in the month of January at the following venues:

Swami Ananand Chaitnaya and Acharyaa Ananyaji from Chinmaya Mission imparted eternal ideals for enabling the students to be assets for the society in different venues. There were also refining touch to the subjects, Bharat Mata Pujan to infuse patriotic fervor among the participants.

In addition to the above, VKVs Shergaon, Wessang, Tawang, Ziro, Roing, Sher, Yazali conducted Utsarg at the school level. In these venues also dignitaries were invited to guide the students.

Matripuja

The matripuja for the class X students were conducted in all the secondary and Higher Secondary school in the month of February. Sri R Krishna Kumar, member, VKVAPT visited the schools to conduct the Puja. A large number of parents took part in the puja in each venue. The puja which comprises of Paad puja of the mother and understanding the importance of mother in one’s life impressed the parents and the students. Many came forward to express their spontaneous emotions after the puja.

Accounts Workshop

26 Accounts and clerks from VKVs Arunachal Pradesh Trust participated in a Regional level workshop of Vivekananda Kendra, North East region conducted on 3rd and 4th February at VKV Dibrugarh.The workshop was  graced by Mananeeya Bhanudasji, Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra; Asok Junagade CA from Nashik; Sri Pravinji, Secretary, VKVAPT; Arun Raj Singh Sekhawat, Administrative Officer,VKVAPT; Sri Rupesh Mathur, Joint Secretary,VKVAPT; Pratibha Kulkarni, Office Secretary,VKVAPT and other officials from VKVAPT and VKSPV. The Workshop took stock of the actions taken on the earlier decisions and streamlined other accounting procedures. Sri Subhashis Moulik, Cluster Accountant for Subansiri Cluster was awarded the best Accountant for the session 2017-18.

Outstanding performance in Scholarship Exams
VKV students have exhibited outstanding performance in the recently held NTSE and NMSS Exam.  The highlights of the same have been given below:

NMSS 2017-18:
The scholarship examination conducted in all over the state for identifying the talented students studying in Class VIII clearly reflected the efforts of the teachers, students and their parents. Out of 130 selected from the state, 126 were from VKVs.

VKVAPT Core Team meeting:
A core meeting was held on 5th Jan2018 at VKVAPT Dibrugarh which was attended by Shri. Pravin Dabholkar, Secretary  North East, Shri Rupesh Mathur , Joint Secretary VKV APT, Shri Arun Raj Singh Shekhawat, Admin. Officer, Smt Pratibha Kulkarni, Office Secretary, Shri Unnikrishnan P M, Education Officer, Shri Arindam Bhattacharjee Accounts’ officer, Shri Krishna Kumar, Store In- charge ,Shri Mahesh Menon office-In charge, and the cluster In-charges, Shri P.K. Pandey, Shri. N.Kumaravel, Shri Anand Mohan Mishra and Shri Ajaykumar P. Various administrative matters were discussed in the meeting.

Result of InterVKV Competitions declared:
The result of the Inter VKV Essay Writing Competition and Inter VKV Prajnya Vikas Competition have been declared. The completions were held on 28 October and 11 December respectively. Some of the highlights are given below:

Utkarsh Shibir:
A shibir for some selected teachers was conducted at VKVAPT, Dibrugarh on 18th and 19th February. The Shibir was graced by Padmashree Su Nivedita Bhide, Vice –President and Mananeeya Bhanudasji, General Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari. Altogether 14 teachers from different VKVs participated in the shibir.  With the guidance of the Kendra elders, the participants took part in group discussion and presentation, individual presentation on various topics like academic excellence, innovation in school, proper accounting procedures etc. The participants have been immensely benefitted from the shibir to discharge various responsibilities.

Visit of Governor

His Excellency, Brig. (Dr) B.D. Mishra, the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh visited VKV Jairampur on 30 January at 11.10 a.m. School gave him a grand welcome with band troupe and conducted a short programme. It was attended by the Honorable MLA of Jairampur Constituency, Deputy Commissioner, Changlang Dist, DIG Police, throng of public leaders of the area and Govt officials. His Excellency congratulated VKVs for doing wonderful work including stress on girls’ education in the remote corner of India and urged the students of VKVs to enshrine the name and fame of Swami Vivekananda, the greatest ideal leader.

DST Inspire Camp 2018

Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt Of India had collaborated with Arunachal University of Studies (AUS) to organize an ‘Inspire Internship Science Camp’ from 1st - 5th February at Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh. The camp was especially for higher secondary classes to apprise them of possible future prospects in science stream. Approximately 200 students from six different schools had actively participated in the camp. From VKV Roing 31 children of XI had participated. Various fields of science had been vividly depicted by eminent dignitaries from reputed educational and research institutions of our country.  There were Scientists and faculties fromKrishi Bhawan, New Delhi, Doon University, Dibrugarh University, Citrus Research Station, Tinsukia and IIT Guwahati who presented papers ondifferent topics each day.

Achievement in State level Model Making Competition
Two students of VKV Vivek Vihar namely Km Runi Shangdo and Km Tad Nimpu won second position in the State level Model Making Competition held on 18th February on the theme ‘Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency’ organized by APEDA, Itanagar and BEE ( Govt of India). The students as well as the Guide teacher Sri Gupta Bigop Parida were given cash prizes and certificates.

Varshik Baithak of VK Arunachal Prant

All the principals of the VKVs of Arunachal Pradesh along with a member of School Support Group attended the Varshik Baithak held in Golden Pagoda, Namsai from 2nd to 4th March 2018. Apart from VKVs, members from all the branch centers and projects of Vivekananda Kendra namely, Arun Jyoti, KGBP, Medical services, VKCTE, Craft center etc. participated in the Baithak. Padmashree Su Nivedita Bhide, Vice President, Vivekananda Kendra, Dr Joram Begi, Prant Pramukh, VK Arunachal Pradesh, Sri Pravin Dhabolkar, Secretary,VK, North East graced the occasion. A host of VKV alumni and well-wishers of Vivekananda Kendra also attended the Baithak.

At the moment, the students are attending their annual exam and Class X and XII students are attending their Board exam. We wish all the students best wishes to pass the examination with flying colors.
