VKVs of Arunachal Pradesh in the National Level Children Science Congress

The following students who were the state toppers in the State level 24th Children Science Congress 2016 took part in the national level competition held at Vidya Pratisthan’s Institute of Information Technology (VIIT), Bara Maharashtra during 27th -31st December.

In addition to the competition, the students also got opportunity to take part in Science activities, visiting to activity center, technical tour to KVK Sharada Nagar and nature walk with expert talks. There was also a workshop for the escort teachers on the intellectual property right. Dr Harsha Vardhan (Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Earth Sciences) and Sri Prakash Javedkar, HRD Minister were the chief guest for the inaugural and the valedictory function respectively.

National Youth Day Celebration

All the VKVs of Arunachal Pradesh celebrated National Youth Day with lot of enthusiasm. A large number of parents, well-wishers, school support group members were present to witness the program in addition to the invited dignitaries. The ‘Importance of the Day’ with inspiring messages of Swami Vivekananda, cultural programs presented by the students were some of the events of the celebration. Many schools held exhibitions of wall magazine, craft items prepared by students etc. In VKV Yazali, villagers from Potin village presented Nyishi dance and NEEPCO Colony Cultural Group presented Bihu dance in addition to other programs by the school. The district level traditional dance and drama competition organized by Arun Jyoti was also held in the corresponding VKVs.

North East Principal Meet, Accounts Workshop and Office Assistant Workshopmati,

A mega program, wherein all the Principals and some selected Vice-Principals of all the VKVs of North East, accountants and office assistants came together, was held at VKV Dollungmukh from 17th Jan to 20th Jan.  Ma. Ashokji Junagade- C.A. from Nasik and Ma. Bhanudasji General Secretary Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, guided the accountants meet. They were assisted by Shri Nanadanji and Shri Sagar Lad. After the Accounts workshop, Principal Meet for VKSPV as well as VKVAPT was held. Dr Joram Begi, a renowned educationalist and the Director of the VKVs in North east addressed all in a common session focusing on the Role of VKVs in the North Eastern states. Sri Pravin Dhabolkar, Secretary, VKVAPT and VKSPV was present and guided the participants throughout the Meet. All other Office bearers of VKVAPT and VKSPV were also present in the Meet.

The special efforts made by Principal of Dollungmukh and his limited number of staff, to make the event successful, were appreciated by all.

Utsarg Samaroh

Utsarg Samaroh is a three day residential shibir for the Class X students before appearing the Board examination. The Utsrag Samaroh for session 2016-17 was held in five venues as per the following details:

Keeping the spirit of the Samaroh, the Utsarg Samaroh 2017 also was designed to provide a refining touch to the academic subjects by the selected Resource persons who furnished exam orientated scoring tricks and other helpful materials. The Swamijis from Chinmaya Mission and the elders from Vivekananda Kendra took sessions in different venues to enable students to inculcate the eternal values which would make their life purposeful by making oneself a resource for the society. Mananeeya Bhanudasji, General Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra was present in the Utsarg at VKV Itanagar and took inspiring session. Mananeeya Pravinji was present in the Utsarg at VKV Roing. Swami Mitranandaji, Sri. Chaitanya Santosh, Namrata Chavan of Chinmaya Mission took the “Hari Om “sessions in various venues which were very much liked by the students. Sri P.M Unnikrishnan, Education Officer and Sri R Krishna Kumar from VKVAPT were present in all the venues. In addition to the school organizing team, Sri P.K Pandey, CIC, Lohit and Tirap Cluster, Sri N. Kumaravel, CIC, Kameng Cluster and Sri Shyamal Chakraborty, Principal, VKV Kharsang were present in different venues.

Achievement in Drawing Competition
Km Nyoakcha Misia of class 9th of VKV Tafrogam was the state level winner in the All India School Drawing Competition 2017, on the topic “Every Vote Counts “organized by the Election Commission of India. She received her award in a glittering function at Doimukh on 25th January 2017.

Desh Bhakti Kavi Sammelan in VKV Kuporijo

VKV Kuporijo conducted  Hindi Deshbhakti  Kavi  Sammelan on 28th January  2017 which  provided a platform  to budding poets of VKV Kuporijo and neighboring  schools to  present their self -composed poem on  patriotism  and glory of India.  This program is a regular annual activity for the school for the last many years conducted on the eve of Republic Day. Apart from host school, ten schools from Daporijo area participated in the Sammelan. The participating schools are: Abotani  school ,Govt. Sec. School Lida, Iman Memorial School, Blue Mount School, Govt. Sec. School, Rijo; Govt. Bazar School, Subansiri Public School, Adarsh School, Vivekananda Public  School and  Si- Donyi Public School. Addressing the students, the Chief Guest Ms. Nyari Tawe, Hindi Lecturer Daporijo Govt. College appealed all to devote themselves for nation building through education. She appreciated the talents of young upcoming poets of different schools.  Sri. Ashis Chatterjee, Principal VKV Kuporijo, urged all to imbibe good values and continue the skill of writing good composition. 215 students witnessed the programme. Sri J.B. Jadhav, Hindi teacher took initiative along with class IX students to coordinate and arrange the programme.

Talent Show for the Primary students

VKV Roing conducted a Talent Show program for the primary class students on 28th January in which 179 students took part. They showed their talent in Table reciting, Action song, Enacting of Drama, Group song, Group dance, Display of models, patriotic song, Bhajans etc. Altogether 113 parent witnessed the program.

School Level Science Exhibition

VKV Roing conducted a school level Science exhibition on 9th January in which students presented a total number of 106 models. The exhibition was inaugurated by Sri. Sanjay Kumar Sain, IPS, SP Roing and Sri. Ego Doye, DDSE, Roing. Sri. S. Tayeng APO, Sri. Umakant, Commandant 55 ITBP, Roing were some of the other guests. Children from nearby Govt. Middle school Roing, also witnessed the exhibition. VKV Basar and VKV Vivek Vihar also held Science exhibition during the month.

A pictorial exhibition was held at VKV Vivek Vihar on 7th January in which the artistic talents of the primary class students were on display.  Eighty numbers of parents also witnessed the exhibition.
