Outreach Program & National Youth Day Celebration

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Chayang Tajo conducted outreach programs at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Avasiya Vidyalaya, Sangchu on 9 January 2026 and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Chayang Tajo on 10 January 2026, benefitting 58 and 163 students and well-wishers respectively.

National Youth Day was celebrated on 12 January 2026 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The program was graced by Shri Bhopal Singh, ASI, 59th Bn. ITBP as the Chief Guest, and Shri Sewak Thapa, Branch Manager, Canara Bank, Chayang Tajo, as the Guest of Honour. The event was attended by 71 parents and well-wishers.

The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp and Mangalacharan, followed by a welcome song by Class V students and the release of the school calendar. Sri Mritunjay Mishra highlighted the significance of the day and Swami Vivekananda’s vision for national development.

Cultural performances including traditional and patriotic dances, Shiv Tandav Stotram, and a drama on Swami Vivekananda enriched the program. Proficiency Prizes and Prajna Vikash Written Test prizes were distributed. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and Shanti Mantra.
