The school has conducted the school level Bhagawad Gita chanting competition on 15/11/2018 in the school activity hall. The programme started as per the VKV tradition. The welcome address was made by Shri Dambar Kr.Timsina ,Principal I/c of the school. There were three judges for the competition Shri Vijesh M.K, Principal Arundeva English Medium School, Smt.Tulsi Devi,Teacher K.V Gerukamukh,
Smt.Nita Singh,Principal Bal Vidyalaya,Gerukamukh.

The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Shri  Nandalal Sharma followed by the Shanty Mantra.

An Anti-Drugs awareness Camp was conducted in the school premises on 4th November 2018.The Awareness camp was organised by the Indigenous faith and Cultural Society, Arunachal Pradesh. The participants of the camp were the people living in and around Dollungmukh circles and some resource persons were from Papumpare, Lower Siang, East siang and West Siang respectively. Almost all the lectured session deal with the drugs and its ill-effect to our health and the society in general. The students of Class-VI of our Vidyalaya also participated in the programme.

Smt.Rottom Maya played the key role in organising the camp. The motto of the camp was  successful.

The programme started as per the VKV traditions. The welcome Speech was delivered by Shri Dambar Kr.Timsina Principal i/c, followed by the self introduction by the participants of the camp. There was a Ashirbad bachan made by Pratibha Didi, Office Secretary VKVAPT. The Education officer VKVAPT, Shri P.M.Unni Krishnan, highlighted the importance of the teachers’ Orientation Camp.

There was a felicitation programme for the resource person by Pratibha Didi.

  1. The first day of the TOC was conducted on 20/09/2018.It comprises the various session and activities undertaken by the resource persons. Following were the important topic of the second day TOC. (a) Effective teaching of English in primary classes.(b)Reading, Writing, Speaking, Writing and Team teaching.(c)Story telling(c)How to use Supplementary reader in teaching.(d) Games, Bhajans etc.
  2. The second day of TOC was conducted on 21/09/2018. It comprises the various session and activities undertaken by the resource persons. Following were the important topic of the second day TOC.(a)Reading skill &Use of the library book.(b)Writing Skills (c) Interaction in the class (d)Professional development(e) Games, Bhajans etc.
  3. The third day of TOC was conducted on 22/09/2018. It comprises the various session and activities undertaken by the resource persons. Following were the important topic of the third day TOC (a) Speaking & listening (b) Conduction of Ability test.(c)Spoken English.(d)How to conduct activities.

The closing ceremony of the English teachers’ orientation camp was conducted on 22/09/2018 in the school activity hall.

The programme started as per the VKV traditions. The welcome Speech was delivered by Shri Dambar Kr.Timsina Principal i/c, followed by the report of the camp made by Shri Ananda Dutta, resource person. There was a experience sharing by the participants of the camp.There was a Ashirbad Bachan by the Education Officer VKVAPT, Shri PM UnniKrishnan.

A parent- teachers meet was organized in the school for the students of classes-I-III on 18/08/2018 in the school activity hall. The meeting was conducted to discuss the academic and non-academic performance of the students. It also aimed to highlight the new examination system and also to make the new parents to know about the Vivekananda Kendra in general.

The meeting started as per the VKV traditions. The welcome Speech was delivered by Shri-R.Murugan ,Principal. He also highlighted the brief history of Vivekendra Kendra  and the aim and  objective of the meeting.

All the subject teachers of classes-I-III, highlighted their own subject’s performance in the last examinations. They also placed their problems related to home work and the students weak in their particular subjects.

The parents feedbacks were as follows:-

  1. Handwriting of the children should be improved.
  2. Spoken English of the children.
  3. Games and sports and Yoga.
  4. Inspiring videos of the great personality should be shown in the class time to time.

VKV Dollungmukh celebrated the Universal Brotherhood Day in a befitting manner. The programme for the Hosteller was conducted in Morning Prayer. Shri D.K.Timsina Principal I/C highlighted the importance of the day.

A Talent Show was also conducted in the SOMA Campus (Gerukamukh) for the Day-Scholars students of the school. The programme started as per the VKV traditions. The welcome Speech and importance of the day was delivered by Shri-D.K.Timsina,Principal I/C. The Activities in the talent show were around 40 items for the students of classes I-VI. Just after the Talent Show the speech was deliver by the Chief Guest. The vote of thanks was delivered by Smt.Neetu Dhiman, Day Scholar teacher. Overall the programme was grand successful with the cooperation of all the teaching and non teaching staffs of the school.

VKV Dollungmukh celebrated International Day of Yoga, in an enthusiatic and cheerful way with a prior rehearsal by the involvement of the entire family of the Vidyalaya.

The celebration initiated with the significance of the day speech delivered by Sri. Dambar Kumar Timsina, teacher of the Vidyalaya. He highlighted the importance of Yoga in one’s life and the lifelong benefit in the regular practice of the same. The entire display comprised of Loosening Exercises, Asanas, Suryanamaskar and Pranayama. All the students of both the hostellers and the day scholars and the teaching staff of the Vidyalaya participated in an active way. Sri. Barendra Barman and Sri. Jang Bahadur Sonar instructed and demonstrated the steps to the audience for a better performance. The total attendance of the proceeding was 174.

The Intra School Bhagwad Gita Chanting Competition at VKV Dollungmukh was conducted on the eve of Gita Jayanti, on 29.11.2017 in which all the students participated with true spirit and enthusiasm.

Sri. Ratnakar Pandey and Smt. Rajashri Kalita, the Assistant Manager, Rajbasha, Subansiri Lower Hydro Electric Project of NHPC at Gerukamukh and Sanskrit Teacher of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Subansiri Lower Hydro Electric Project of NHPC at Gerukamukh respectively were the judges along with Sri. R. Murugan, the Principal of the Vidyalaya. All the three judges assessed the participants as per the centralised guidelines.

A Brief Report on the Library Week Observations from 19.11.2017 – 26.11.2017

Library Week was observed in VKV Dollungmukh from 19.11.2017 – 26.11.2017, which comprised a variety of activities like Display of Subject wise Wall Magazines, Book Collection Drive and Literary Competitions focussing on the enrichment of the reading habits and explore the hidden potentialities of the students.

The weeklong observation was commenced on 19.11.2017, in which Sri. Krishna Kumar.V.V.R.N, the Senior General Manager of SOMA Enterprises, Gerukamukh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He was given a brief description about the observation along with the significance of the day speech on the observation of “Sadhana Diwas” – the Birth Anniversary of Mananeeya Eknathji Ranade, the spirit behind Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari and VKVs in Arunachal Pradesh.

The literary competitions namely, Quotation Recitation and Writing, Loud Reading both in English and Hindi and Book Review were conducted from 21.11.2017 – 25.11.2017 with an active and enthusiastic participation of the students. The Vidyalaya had a receipt of 101 books of various subjects, donated by the parents and one of the NHPC officials as a part of the Book Collection Drive – one of the activities of the observations.

Sri.G.K.Singh, the Chief of HR, Subansiri Lower Hydro Electric Project of NHPC at Gerukamukh graced the culmination of the Library Week Observations as the Chief Guest and awarded the winners of the literary competitions in the in - house programme organised on 27.11.2017.
