A Brief Report on the Library Week Observations from 19.11.2017 – 26.11.2017

Library Week was observed in VKV Dollungmukh from 19.11.2017 – 26.11.2017, which comprised a variety of activities like Display of Subject wise Wall Magazines, Book Collection Drive and Literary Competitions focussing on the enrichment of the reading habits and explore the hidden potentialities of the students.

The weeklong observation was commenced on 19.11.2017, in which Sri. Krishna Kumar.V.V.R.N, the Senior General Manager of SOMA Enterprises, Gerukamukh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He was given a brief description about the observation along with the significance of the day speech on the observation of “Sadhana Diwas” – the Birth Anniversary of Mananeeya Eknathji Ranade, the spirit behind Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari and VKVs in Arunachal Pradesh.

The literary competitions namely, Quotation Recitation and Writing, Loud Reading both in English and Hindi and Book Review were conducted from 21.11.2017 – 25.11.2017 with an active and enthusiastic participation of the students. The Vidyalaya had a receipt of 101 books of various subjects, donated by the parents and one of the NHPC officials as a part of the Book Collection Drive – one of the activities of the observations.

Sri.G.K.Singh, the Chief of HR, Subansiri Lower Hydro Electric Project of NHPC at Gerukamukh graced the culmination of the Library Week Observations as the Chief Guest and awarded the winners of the literary competitions in the in - house programme organised on 27.11.2017.
