The 125th Universal Brotherhood Day celebrations at VKV Dollungmukh commenced with the Run for Brotherhood, which was  flagged off by Smt. Nido Yapop, the Anchal Chair Person of Dollungmukh. She recalled her association with VKVs as a parent since time immemorial and also expressed her happiness to be the Chief Guest to flag off the run. She wished the entire team of the Vidyalaya to have a better day ahead. The hostellers of Class IV and V participated in the run along with a few teachers.

Following the Run for Brotherhood, a programme was organised by the family members of the Vidyalaya, in which Sri. Koj Tacho, the Circle Officer of Dollungmukh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Sri. R.Murugan, the Principal of the Vidyalaya highlighted the significance of the celebration in addition to the Forty Years Celebrations on the existence of VKVs in the state along with the welcome address. Kr. Bini Tergiri, a Class V student of the Vidyalaya drew the attention of the entire gathering by his vibrant presentation of the historical Chicago Speech. It’s obvious that there was a colourful cultural programme presented by the young buds of VKV Dollungmukh, which comprised of a traditional solo dance and a patriotic song in group. The Chief Guest while addressing the gathering, highly acknowledged the selfless service of VKVs in the state and also insisted the parents to extend their fullest co operation to the Vidyalaya at all the spheres so that the ultimate output would be that their wards would emerge as a better citizen of the nation. The gathering of the parents of both hostellers and day scholars were highly impressed by the performance of their wards. The programme was concluded by Shanti Mantra.
