It was a great privilege for the entire family of VKV Dollungmukh, that the Academic Building and the Hostel Building was inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister Sri. Pema Khandu and Honourable Deputy Chief Minister Sri. Chowna Mein respectively in the presence of their political colleagues of ministers of various port folios, administrative head of the district, officials of the various departments of the state, the officers of high profile of the Subansiri Lower Hydro Electric Project of NHPC at Gerukamukh and a grand gathering of public.

Following the inauguration of both the buildings of the Vidyalaya, all the political heads were given a traditional welcome by the team of the Vidyalaya and all of them visited the hostels and shared a good impression. A public meeting was arranged in connection with the inaugural function in which the Honourable Chief Minister Sri. Pema Khandu was the Chief Guest and Honourable Deputy Chief Minister Sri. Chowna Mein was the Guest of Honour. The meeting commenced with Mangalcharan, followed by a welcome song which were presented by the young buds of VKV Dollungmukh. The grand gathering was welcomed by Sri. P.M.Unnikrishnan, the Education Officer of VKVs in Arunachal Pradesh. He highlighted a few anecdotes reflecting the work of Vivekananda Kendra in the state through VKVs, with a prior description of the same. The students of VKV Dollungmukh presented two traditional dances, separately of boys and girls in addition to a group song presented by the boys of Class III and IV, which gained a grand applause and appreciation from the entire gathering as a whole and from the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour in particular. Both of the dignitaries acknowledged the selfless service of VKVs in the state while addressing the gathering. Sri. Pema Khandu, the Honourable Chief Minister acknowledged the devoted work of the teachers in general and also specifically mentioned about the excellent performance of the students of VKV Dollungmukh with a special reference to their pronunciation of the language Hindi.  As a part of the visit of the Honourable Chief Minister to the Vidyalaya, he donated an amount of Rs.200000 (Rupees Two Lakhs Only) for the various developmental activities of the Vidyalaya. The public meeting culminated with vote of thanks delivered by Sri. R.Murugan, the Principal of the Vidyalaya. The Chief Guest spared a short time to have a brief introduction with all the team members of the Vidyalaya.

Thus the visit of the Chief Minister made a great mark in the history of VKVs in the state as a whole and VKV Dollungmukh in particular.
