Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh celebrates National Unity Day, the Birth Anniversary of the “Iron Man of India” Sardar Vallabhai Patel with full sprit and Enthusiasm.
The programme started with the lighting of the lamp By the Chief Guest, Sri. Kuru Tai,an social Activist and Sri. Anand Mohan Mishra, Principal,VKV Ziro. Ku. Gora Chiku,student of Tenth Standard Highlighted the Life history of Sardar Vallabhai Patel which was followed by an Patriotic song .Sri. Kuru Tai in his speech urged the student to develop the feeling of patriotism, unity, integrity and security. He brought to light the work of Sardar Vallabhai Patel in making One India and allured the students to follow the path showed by him.
Sri. Rudra Prasad Upadhaya,Teacher,VKV Ziro endured the programme with the pledge taking ceremony for the students. Sri. Anand Mohan Mishra Inaugurated the Poster making Competition for cLass IX-X students on the Theme”Unity,Integrity,safety and Security” and even flagged off the Marathon “ Run for Unity”.

“ Unless my parents and teachers supported me, I would not have achieved this prestigious award”, said Nani Oniya the winner of 2nd National Level Exhibition & Project Competitions, 2012 organized at New Delhi by Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE), Ministry of Science and Technology, epartment of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. Nani Oniya, daughter of Nani Tatung and Nani Yassey, a student of Class-X of VKV School, Ziro has brought laurels for the Ziro in particular and state as a whole by winning in 2nd National Level Exhibition & Project Competitions, 2012.

In honour of her achievements, the Ziro VKV school authority has organized a photo session programme on Tuesday where Oniya shared her experience.
“In the year 2011, when I was in class IX, my class teacher informed me of the district level exhibition competition particularly for those who stood first position in class-VIII & Class-IX exam. As I have passed Class VIII in first position, I along with the topper of class IX, who is now in class X, were selected for participating the district level INSPIRE competition. Accordingly, under the guidance of our teachers, we were participated the competition and stood topper and selected for state level competition,” said Oniya.
