Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh had observed, “INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY” along with its 402 students (210 boys and 192 girls) and 18 number of staff on 21st of June 2018 with the common objective of achieving “Healthy India; Wealthy India” for an enhancement of within oneself. The following practices were performed by the children of this Vidyalaya. The Standing Asanas like Thadasana, Vakrasana, Vrukshashana, Padahasthasana and Trikonasana, the Sitting Asanas like Vajrasana, Bhadrasana, Ushtasana, Sheshakasana and Pachimothasa, the Lying Position Asanas like Makarasana, Bhujangasana, Salasana, Uhthanapadasana and Ardhalasana along with Savasana, Breathing Exercises like Anulome – Vilome, Kapalpathi, Sithili, Brahmari followed with Dhyanam and Shanti Mantra were demonstrated.

Stalls were set up. Four stalls Namely-Swami Vivekananda-Sister Nivedita-The Vedanta-Chicago Speech.

Guru Purnima Celebrated in our vidyalaya with intense fervour and enthusiasm. Shri Mahesh Pandey, Teacher narrated the importance of Guru in present time. Guru Purnima is one such day when the Guru or the teacher is worshiped for the work they have done for their disciples. Every year in the month of Ashadh this festival is celebrated.  It is actually a combination of two Sanskrit words “Gu” and “Ru”. “Gu” in Sanskrit means ignorance or darkness and “Ru” means the remover of the darkness. Basically the person who is responsible for removing the darkness is known as Guru.

Letter of Man. Nivedita Didi, Vice President was read. Watering the roots is important. Importance of Samay Niyojan and Vaani Samyam was explained to the students. All the Teachers & Students practiced Kendra Prayer.

  • “Universal Brotherhood day” was observed on 11th September 2016 in VKV,Ziro.
  • The Chief of the programme was Shri Tage Taki Ji Local MLA of Ziro constituency.
  • The Guest of honour of the programme were Shri Nani Bath Professor R.G.U, Shri K. Lollen, Deputy Commissioner of Lower Subansiri District.
  • Total 1630 (one thousand six hundred thirty people including Parents-575, Teachers-21, students -530, Well Wishers-303 , Local Guardians - 176, staff family Members - 25 were present in the programme.
  • In his speech Shri Tage Taki praised the contribution of VKV in Arunachal Pradesh. He also assured his support to meet the need of the school. Approach Road & Assembly Hall
  • Nani Bath in his Speech mentioned the messages of Swami Vivekananda and appealed the people to follow in their day life to make the life meaningful.
  • The programme was illumited by the students of the school presenting some cultural and traditional shoe on the stage.
  • Programme was overall successful with his appealing speech.
  • All expressed their gratitude for getting the opportunity to be a part of the programme.

IYD Celebrated in our Vidyalaya. All the students and teachers
participated in this programme. Our 30 students participated IYD
programme at Hapoli with District Administration.

The Govt of Arunchal Pradesh Conducted Distt (Lower Subansiri) Level Science Exhibition on the theme ‘ Science,Society and Enviornment' held at Govt Higher Secondary School Ziro on 23rd September 2011.

In this Competition Km. Mepi Timba of Class IX, VKV Ziro was adjudged 1st on the Sub theme ‘Agriculture and Food Security’. She will participate State Level Science Exhibition at Itanagar which will be held on October 2011.

The Programme was inaugurated by Sri Bamin Tani, Principal, Govt Higher Secondary School, Hapoli.

 

“Vigyan Darpan” an exclusive science creative board, exhibited by the students of VKV ZIRO was inaugurated  on 30-07-2011

A sum of total 31 Creative boards covering the various topics of science with new thinking and innovative ideas were presented by the students of all the classes (Cl-VI to X). The exhibition was arranged in the form of a class wise competition.

VKV- Ziro celebrated Ozone Day with much enthusiasm. 400 students from Class VI to X and the teachers were present for the programme.

Slogan Writing Competition

250 students participated in the Slogan writing competitions. The students have prepared beautiful and meaning slogans which are displayed later in the school corridor. Few Slogans like “ Say no to Deo sprays “ , “ Save Ozone to Save your life “ “ etc captured the attention of everyone .
