The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Jairampur. The programme began in the early hours with a Prabhat Pherry, in which all the students, led by the school band, marched through the town raising spirited slogans like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram”. The vibrant echo of these slogans filled the atmosphere with a strong sense of national pride and unity.
At 7:00 a.m., the National Flag was hoisted on the school campus by Sri. P Ajaya Kumar, Education Officer, VKVAPT, in the presence of students, teachers, supporting staff, and well-wishers. In his inspiring address, he paid heartfelt tribute to the supreme sacrifices of our freedom fighters. He reminded everyone that India is steadily progressing towards the dream of Viksit Bharat—a New India. He also highlighted the importance of Operation Sindoor and cautioned the gathering against the systematic efforts of foreign agencies to weaken and erode the rich cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh. His words ignited a sense of responsibility among the students to safeguard both the freedom and culture of our great nation.
After the school programme, students and teachers proceeded to the General Ground, Jairampur, to participate in the ceremonial flag hoisting organised by the local administration. The students of VKV Jairampur presented an impressive performance that won the admiration of all and was adjudged the best performance, securing the winners’ trophy.
Adding further glory to the occasion, VKV Jairampur received two prestigious awards from the district administration—one for achieving outstanding results in Class XII Board Examinations and another for the school’s excellent service in the field of education and social contribution. The awards received from HMLA Sri. Laisam Simai, 51, ST Nampong constituency.
The celebration concluded on a high note, instilling pride in every heart and reaffirming the Vidyalaya’s commitment to uphold the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, while contributing meaningfully to the vision of a strong, self-reliant, and culturally rooted India.

Miss Radha Pradhan highlighted the significance of Raksha Bandhan — stating that it is not merely a festival of brothers and sisters, but a celebration of Indian values, culture, and emotional bonds.
As per tradition, the Principal offered Rakhi to “Om” and a sacred tree while chanting Vedic mantras, sending out the message that protection is not only for human beings but also for nature and the environment.
Assam Rifles Commandant, Soldiers, Administrative officials, including the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Jairampur, the Police Inspector, the Branch Manager, and others, were also tied Rakhis — symbolising unity and mutual respect.
In his address, the Principal prayed to God to grant students the strength to stay away from bad habits. He urged them to live for values, safeguard culture, and uphold discipline and respect.
The programme also recalled historical and mythological stories related to Raksha Bandhan — such as those of Indrani–Indra, Rani–Yama–Yamuna, Draupadi–Shri Krishna, and Roxana–Porus — emphasising that this bond goes beyond blood relations.
The broader significance of Sawan Purnima was also highlighted — marking the conclusion of the Amarnath Yatra, the devotion of the Kanwar pilgrimage, the Radha-Krishna Jhula Utsav, Balaram Jayanti, Hayagriva Jayanti, and Sanskrit Day.

Following the tradition of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas, the school had organized programme in the Guru Poornima, inviting the priest from the Buddhist monastery in Kovin village. All the students and teachers were assembled in the school auditorium. The programme began with three Omkara followed by Aaikya mantra. A. M. Mishra Sir welcomed the whole gathering. In his address, he set the tone of the whole programme. His address was followed by another address by Rakesh Tiwari Sir, who highlighted the importance of the auspicious occasion. He mentioned the reason behind the celebration and the values enshrined with it. After his address, Bindu Didi and the prayer group led two guru bhajans, followed by all students present in the auditorium. The Buddhist performed the rituals of puja and blessed the audience. After the completion of the rituals, A. M. Mishra Sir thanked all on behalf of the school and the programme got concluded with santhi mantra. All left the auditorium with sweets in their hands and a sense of happiness in their expression. 

Theme: "Yoga for One Earth, One Health"
In harmony with the Ministry of AYUSH’s directives and embracing the global theme "Yoga for One Earth, One Health", Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Jairampur observed the International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2025 with great zeal and widespread outreach.
The celebration was not confined to the campus alone — it expanded into the community, connecting institutions and individuals in the spirit of wellness, unity, and holistic health.
Program Highlights:
Guided Yoga Sessions by Expert Instructors:
•    On 21st June 2025, Sri Alokesh Boro, PET of VKV Jairampur, along with our students, led a focused Yoga session at the ADC Office, Jairampur. The session saw active participation from all Heads of Departments (HoDs), promoting inter-departmental bonding through mindful breathing and asanas. The dignified setting and enthusiastic participation made it a truly inspiring experience.
•    On the occasion of IDY 2025, Sri Rakesh Tiwari extended sambark for conducting Yoga sessions at multiple locations:
o    Assam Rifles Public School Staff & Students
o    Government Middle School, Lalpul
o    Kovin Village Community Center
These sessions were taken by our Students & Sri. Alokesh Boro included demonstrations of basic Yogasanas, Pranayama techniques, and simple relaxation practices suitable for all age groups and professional backgrounds. The participants deeply appreciated the practical benefits of Yoga for stress relief, focus, and overall physical well-being.
The overarching message of unity between humanity and nature resonated throughout the programme. The theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health” was beautifully brought alive as people from different walks of life came together to embrace Yoga not just as an exercise, but as a way of life rooted in India’s ancient wisdom.
The programme reflected Vivekananda Kendra’s mission — Man-making and Nation-building — where physical, mental, and spiritual well-being are harmoniously cultivated through traditional Indian practices like Yoga.
The celebration of International Day of Yoga 2025 by VKV Jairampur was not only successful in participation but powerful in message and impact. Through collaborative efforts across diverse institutions, the Vidyalaya proudly upheld the values of wellness, awareness, and responsibility towards self and society.

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV), Jairampur, with great enthusiasm, devotion, and patriotism. The day commenced with the morning programme, Prabhat Pheri (procession) led by the school band, in which all students and teachers participated. The procession passed through Kovin village, leaving the villagers delighted and thrilled by the spectacular performance of the VKV band, which showcased its discipline and synchronization.

He also urged students to stay vigilant against anti-social elements and false narratives, emphasizing the importance of being responsible citizens.
Following the school celebration, students and teachers proceeded to the General Ground, Jairampur, for the ceremonial flag hoisting by the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Jairampur. The VKV band once again captivated the audience with an extraordinary performance, forming intricate designs while maintaining rhythm and precision. The audience’s applause was a testament to the team's exceptional talent and dedication.
Adding to the celebration, VKV students, along with students from the Government Primary School, Lalpur, presented a ‘Samta PT’ parade, symbolizing unity and discipline. The Malkhamb performance by VKV students further mesmerized the audience, showcasing their agility, strength, and cultural pride. These performances were met with widespread appreciation from the audience, making the celebration truly memorable.
The Republic Day celebrations at VKV Jairampur not only instilled patriotism among students but also served as a reminder of their responsibility towards the nation. The program concluded on a high note, leaving everyone inspired to contribute to India’s progress and uphold its values.

The celebration of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Jairampur, was a grand and enlightening event that paid tribute to Swamiji's contributions to the nation and his vision for a self-reliant and strong India. The program commenced with great enthusiasm, reflecting the ideals and values upheld by the institution.
•    The event was skillfully hosted by Kumari Harini Sri, a student of Class IX, who maintained a vibrant and engaging atmosphere throughout.
•    The program began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Smt. Wehin Bo, Principal, GHSS Jairampur, accompanied by the auspicious chanting of the Mangalacharan.
•    The Principal of VKV Jairampur extended a warm welcome to all attendees and set the tone for the event.
•    The Chief Guest was felicitated by the Principal of VKV Jairampur acknowledging her support and encouragement.
•    Kr. Mikjam Gamlin, a student of Class IX, eloquently highlighted the significance of the occasion and Swamiji's contributions.
•    The Swadesh Mantra was recited by Kr. Hinshing Singhpho, inspiring everyone with its profound message.
•    The program also included a detailed recap of the activities conducted under the Samarth Bharat Parv, a week-long initiative to promote Swami Vivekananda's ideals. A total of 434 students participated in various competitions across six schools, showcasing their intellect, creativity, and dedication to Swamiji's teachings.
•    The Chief Guest, Smt. Wehin Bo, distributed prizes to the winners of the various competitions, encouraging all participants for their commendable efforts. In her speech, she emphasized Swami Vivekananda’s contributions to education, culture, and socio-economic development. The importance of discipline, hard work, and respect for parents and teachers as key values for success.The role of VKVs in shaping the future of Arunachal Pradesh through dedicated efforts in education.She concluded by extending her best wishes to the students for their upcoming CBSE examinations and urged parents to instil strong values in their children for building their character.
•    The cultural segment, anchored by Kumari Abhilaashaa Sangkey of Class VIII, was a vibrant showcase of talent and creativity & Inspirational quotes of Swamiji presented by students.
•     A rich display of cultural heritage by students of Classes IV and IX.
•    Drama: A captivating enactment of a life incident of Swami Vivekananda by Class IV students.
•    Yoga Demonstration: Students from Classes III and IV displayed the benefits of yoga, highlighting physical and mental discipline.
Shanti Mantra: The program concluded with the Shanti Mantra, invoking peace and harmony.

The school had organized the inauguration programme of NDA Coaching in the campus in the presence of the representatives both from VAV APT and CHME Society, Nashik Division. The programme began with three Omkara followed by Aaikya mantra. S.C. Dixit Sir welcomed the whole gathering. In his address, he set the tune of the whole programme mentioning the morale of the whole training programme. His address was followed by another address by Sri. Sunil Digambar Kulkarni, Education Officer, CHMES who highlighted the need of asking questions and having clarity in the content. Sri. Jagdish Shriram Bhawsar, resource person from CHMES gave PPT presentation on the whole training programme. It was followed by the speech by Sri. Hemantji Deshpande CHME Society,sharing his expectation on the joint venture.  On the behalf of VKV APT, Su. Sujata Nayak, Secretary, VKVs AP Trust gave her words of blessing to all besides highlighting the need of developing patriotic zeal in the young mind as well as the urge for serving nation. After her speech the students were provided with study materials as the formal beginning of training programme. At the end Sri. P.Ajaya Kumar CIC, Lohit & Tirap Cluster, thanked all on the behalf of the school and the programme got concluded with santhi mantra.

The eighth International Day of Yoga was celebrated on 21.06.2022 in our school’s new auditorium in a grand manner with the involvement of students and teachers from two Govt. schools (Government Upper Primary School, Lalpur and Govt. Primary school, Kovin), along with our students and all the inmates of our Vidyalaya in a charming and enthusiastic way.

Sri. T.Sritharan, Principal of our vidyalaya lit the lamp and initiated the celebration and highlighted the importance of Yoga in one’s life and the lifelong benefit in the regular practice of the same. All the students along with the inmates took part in an active way and were in a flow with the entire proceedings. 

The entire display was comprised of Loosening Exercises, Asanas and Pranayama. Sri. L.R Singh, instructed and few students demonstrated the steps to the audience for a better performance. 

The Govt. school students were given yoga training well in advance by our teacher. 

The total attendance of the programme was 465, in which 45 students were from both the Government schools.
