
The Parent–Teacher Meeting for Classes V and VIII for the academic session 2025–26 was successfully conducted on 20th November 2025 in the school prayer hall, beginning at 9:30 AM. A total of 67 parents and well-wishers attended the meeting, representing 38 students of Class V and 31 students of Class VIII. The high turnout reflected the strong commitment and cooperation of the parent community.
The program commenced as per the agenda with the lighting of the lamp by Shri Joram Har Sir and Principal Smti. Ritu Naroh, followed by a melodious welcome song by the students of Class VIII. Principal didi delivered an inspiring welcome speech, appreciating the presence of all parents and hostel owners.
Shri Sujit Dey highlighted the significance of the PTM, shared the overall achievements of students, and appreciated their steady progress. A detailed Result Analysis of PT-I and Term-I was presented by Shri Manoj Kr. Mahato, which helped parents understand the academic performance of their wards.
During the feedback and suggestion session, parents gave positive feedback about their children and the school’s efforts. They also shared several valuable suggestions for further improvement:

1. INAUGURAL CEREMONY OF ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2025
The Annual Sports Meet 2025 commenced on 12th November with a grand inaugural ceremony marked by tradition and enthusiasm. The dignitaries were welcomed warmly, followed by the lighting of the lamp and Manglacharan.
The welcome address by Smt. Ritu Naroh set a positive tone for the day, while Shri Takpi Game highlighted the significance of the event. After the Chief Guest was felicitated, the ceremonial flag hoisting took place, symbolising the beginning of the sports meet.
A spirited torch rally led by Km. Nabam Kachum and an impressive house-wise march past infused energy into the occasion. The oath-taking ceremony, conducted by Shri Manoj Kumar Mahato, reminded participants of fairness and sportsmanship.
The Chief Guest’s inspiring message motivated all students before the ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks and the official declaration of the sports meet open.
2. SPORTS EVENTS HELD ON 12–13 NOVEMBER
The sports competitions were conducted over two energetic days, beginning on 12 November. Students from all categories participated with enthusiasm and displayed remarkable sportsmanship.
Day 1 included a variety of events such as potato race, skipping, blind hit, spoon–marble race, tug of war, high jump, long jump, and volleyball, giving students ample opportunities to demonstrate their physical abilities.
On Day 2, the excitement continued with events such as balloon blast, relay races, sweet race, needle race, badminton doubles, football, and tug of war.
Teachers managed each event category efficiently, ensuring discipline, safety, and smooth conduct. Support arrangements such as first aid, cleanliness, ground management, and refreshments were handled responsibly, leading to a well-coordinated and enjoyable sports meet.
3. CHILDREN'S DAY CULTURAL CELEBRATION
The Children’s Day celebration on 14 November brought colour and joy to the campus, showcasing the creative talents of students. The event began with Omkar and Sahana Vabatu, followed by an insightful speech on the significance of Children’s Day.
A graceful welcome dance presented by the trainee didi delighted the audience and set a festive mood. A wide range of cultural performances followed, including group songs, solo dances, duet dances, and folk dances.
Students from various classes presented energetic and well-coordinated performances, with groups like Tagang Nui & Group and Joram Guth & Group captivating the audience.
The programme concluded on a warm note with a vote of thanks, bringing a memorable celebration to an end.

The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with grandeur, pride, and a deep sense of patriotism at VKV Joram and also at Yachuli General Ground, where our students showcased their talents and devotion to the motherland. The celebrations reflected not only the glorious journey of our nation from 15th August 1947 to the present but also the dedication of our young generation in carrying forward the ideals of freedom, unity, and responsibility.
Band Troop Participation at Yachuli General Ground
The day began early at 7:30 a.m. with the departure of the school’s band troop to Yachuli General Ground for the ceremonial band display. A total of 57 disciplined and enthusiastic students formed the band contingent, displaying their commitment through impeccable turnout and synchronized marching. The troop was escorted by Shri. Takpi Game, Su. Mamta Rai, and Su. Shanti Magar, who ensured the smooth coordination and safety of the students. The rhythmic beats of the drums and melodious notes of the band added dignity to the Yachuli celebrations, drawing admiration from the audience.
Flag Hoisting and Program at VKV Joram
Simultaneously, at the school campus, the celebrations commenced at 7:30 a.m. with the hoisting of the National Flag by our respected Principal, in the presence of staff and students, amidst the solemn notes of the National Anthem. The fluttering tricolour against the morning sky was a stirring reminder of the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters. Following this, Shri. Manoj Kumar Mahato delivered an inspiring address tracing India’s journey from the historic dawn of freedom in 1947 to the present 79th Independence Day. His speech paid heartfelt tribute to the valiant heroes of our independence struggle and called upon students, teachers, and every citizen to embrace their duty in nation-building with sincerity, discipline, and dedication.
Cultural Programme at Yachuli
At 9:00 a.m., the school’s cultural team proceeded to Yachuli General Ground, escorted by Shri. Sujit Dey and Smti. Sonali Didi. Representing VKV Joram with grace and poise, nine talented girls performed a cultural dance that reflected the diversity and vibrancy of India’s traditions. The performance was met with loud applause, serving as a proud moment for the school and showcasing the artistic excellence of our students on a larger platform.
Cultural Competitions in the School Prayer Hall
Meanwhile, in the school prayer hall, a vibrant series of cultural competitions began at 8:00 a.m., anchored by Shri. Abhimanyu Kumar Sharma, whose engaging presence kept the audience spirited. The Elocution Competition, organized by Shri. Kennedy Rina and Shri. Manoj Kumar Mahato saw 16 participants deliver powerful speeches on themes of patriotism and national service. The Patriotic Song Competition, under the guidance of Shri. Madan Kafle and Shri. Takpi Game, witnessed 24 participants filling the hall with melodies that stirred patriotic fervour. The Slogan Competition, coordinated by Smti. Ritu Naroh and Shri. Sujit Dey, had 16 creative entries that encapsulated the essence of freedom in a few impactful words. The Fancy Dress Competition, managed by Shri. Abhimanyu Kumar Sharma, Smti. Unuti Pegu, and Su. Bishnupriya Pathori, transformed the stage into a living portrait of India’s freedom movement, with students portraying national heroes and cultural icons with authenticity and pride.
Conclusion of the Celebration
The school celebrations concluded with the Shanti Mantra, led by Smti. Ritu Naroh, resonating with a message of peace, unity, and harmony. Finally, sweet distribution, carried out by Shri. Abhimanyu Kumar Sharma and Shri. Madan Kafle, brought smiles to the faces of students, leaving them with sweet memories of the day. The entire celebration, both at VKV Joram and Yachuli, was a perfect blend of solemn remembrance and joyful festivity — a tribute to our glorious past and a pledge towards a brighter, united future.

Guru Purnima was celebrated with deep reverence and spiritual fervour at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Joram. Teaching staff and students of Classes I to VIII were present at the celebration. The programme commenced at 8:50 a.m. with the lighting of the lamp, accompanied by all six priests of Nyedar Namlo, Pitapool, symbolising the dispelling of ignorance and the ushering in of knowledge and wisdom.
Principal, VKV Joram, welcomed and felicitated all the guests of Nyedar Namlo, Pitapool Sri. Taba Tagap, Smt. Nabam Yossum, Smt. Tao Sumpi, Smt. Taba Yarin, Sri. Tao Taju and Sri.Taba Tadap.
Sri Abhimanyu Kr. Sharma spoke, highlighting the significance of the Guru in one's life and elaborating on the traditional and cultural relevance of Guru Purnima.
As part of the traditional observance, prayers were offered to Ane Donyi (the Sun Mother) by the priests of Nyedar Namlo, invoking blessings for peace and wisdom. A major attraction of the celebration was the Guru Bhajan Competition. The students presented a bhajan, adding a spiritual ambience to the event.
Sri. Taba Tagap, invited Special Guest, addressed the gathering, emphasising the relevance of Guru–Shishya tradition and the values of humility, discipline, and knowledge-seeking in students' lives. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Smti. Unuti Pegu and followed by Shanti Mantra, invoking harmony and divine blessings.
