The 'Hindi Diwas' had been celebrated at VKV, Itanagar as 'Hindi Saptah' from 14th September 2016 to 22nd September 2016. The program was inaugurated on 14th September 2016 by Su. Sutapa Roy, Nagar Sangatak, Vivekananda Kendra, Itanagar.
There were many programs in Hindi organized in connection with the same. Some of the programs organized were
* Poem recitation (Self-composed),
* Gazal Singing,
* Quizzes on Swamiji, Vivekananda Kendra and Maa Eknathji,
* Sahyeri recitation,
* Patriotic song singing,

VKV, Itanagar had celebrated International Peace Day with Heartfullness Organization of Sri Ramachandra Mission, Chennai today.
Sri. Kina Temik, Executive Engineer, WRD, Itanagar and Su. Minakshi Sharma, Freelance Finance Consultant, New Delhi graced the occasion.

Celebration of National Eye Donation Fortnight-2016 was organized by Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar at VKV, ITA today between10.00 AM and 12.15 PM. Dr. Lobsang Tsetim, Eye Specialist, RKM Hospital and Dr. Taba Khanna, State Program Officer, Naharlagun were the resource persons.
After the Invocations by the Children of Class-XI children, the Principal delivered the welcome address.

Dr. Lobsang Tsetim was sharing the following.
01. Biology of eye
02. Values of eye
03. Process of eye donation
04. Steps involved in eye transplantation, etc.

A medical camp was organized at VKV, ITA for primary children in collaboration with Primary Health Centre (PHC), Chimpu. Dr. Taser Khambu Likha, MO, PHC, Chimpu and her team of 8 persons (6 nurses and 2 medical assistants) have administered Measles Vaccine to all our primary children, children of our staff and village children. There were 244 children vaccinated.

Raksha Bandan was celebrated with its traditional fervour and gaiety at VKV, Itanagar. It was celebrated in many places as described below.
01. The school program was arranged at Maa Eknathji Memorial Auditorium, VKV, Itanagar. There were 580 children & 26 Staff took part in it. It was celebrated in traditional way.
02. We have also arranged the celebration outside the campus too. Our staff and children had visited 7 different nearby Schools and shared the importance of the day along with tying 'Rakhis'.
03. We have also visited the offices of EE, WRD, Chimpu and CO, IRBn, Chimpu with 2 each staff and 10 each children and tied 'Rakhi' to all the office bearers of the concerned offices.

FROM 9th AUGUST-14th AUGUST-2016 REPORT

In this Vivek inspire workshop 49 students participated from 8 VKVS such as VKV Itanagar, Vivek Vihar, Nivedita Vihar, Seijosa, Oyan Banderdewa, Balijan and VKV Nirjulee.
Resource persons of this workshop came from Jnana probodhini Pune, Su Sri. Mrinmayi, Isha , Nivedita Pongshe, Vidula Kulkarni and Anirudh Guhade.
All the students reported on 8th August 2016 on evening along with their escort teachers at VKV Itanagar.
This camp started from 9th August and it concluded on 14th August 2016. Sri Take Tare, Director of Elementary Education Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh inaugurated the Shibir. He appreciated the initiative of the VKVAPT for training the gifted students to excel in competitive exams and other life skills.
