The HALO SOCIETY, the recently formed service society under the leadership of a handful of VKV Alumni conducted a day long free medical and awareness camp at VKV Oyan on 09 August 2015.
All arrangements were complete by 08th August itself and on 09th morning, the school along with the office bearers of the Halo Society got ready for the formal inauguration of the programme. It was a small but befitting function where Dr.M.Perme, DMO, East Siang Presided over and inaugurated the camp. Sri.P.Ajay Kumar, Principal VKV Oyan gave the welcome address. Sri.Joram Beda, IAS, gave the Key note address and Sri.Wangda Gyatso Gyana gave the vote of thanks.
The DMO gave a detailed account of the preventive measures of the recent rise in dengue fever in this area.
About 1100 persons availed the benefits of the camp. And it became a roaring success. Almost all the staff members of our school and their family members availed the benefits.
All the office bearers exchanged their memories of their days in VKVs in the sidelines of the camp and had a lunch together in the dining hall itself as they did in their school days. Some alumni of VKV Oyan were contemplating on some developmental programmes in the campus.
By 5.00 pm the programme was over and the organizers agreed to meet again with such ideas in future.

Matri pooja was conducted in the school on 6th February in an emotionally charged atmosphere in the presence of Sri K. krishana kumar (cluster in charge) and Sri P M Unnikrishnan(Edn.officer).The programme was well appreciated by the parents. It is evident from the feedback obtained from the parents and students.

Snehavardhini Group of VKV- Oyan (which included 2 members of School SVSSS Ayojan Samiti) conducted the shibir on 31stAugust 2013. 67 Girls attended the whole day Shibir. Dr. Y.R.Darang, a leading Doctor of District Hospital, Pasighat and Km.Mompi Dey, Lawyer in the Additional District and session court, Pasighat and Kum B Radha Devi, VKVAPT were the distinguished resource persons for the Shibir. The entire programme was organised by the Snehavardhini members who went to register the names of the participants, arranged the resource persons, decorated the venue, and prepared the agenda etc. Two of them (Smt. Jisha Ajay Kumar & Smt. Rashmi Unnikrishnan) had taken sessions on SVSSS and Steps to be adopted to become a Shining Star.
