Teacher’s Day in India is celebrated on 5th September every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.Teacher’s Day has always been a very special day in VKV Oyan. The celebration of Teacher’s Day in VKV Oyan included honouring of teachers for their work and support, speeches by teachers extending their thanks and love to students, Classes taken by Class X students by becoming teachers, drawing and handwriting competition for teachers, musical chair competion for teachers and Caram board matches between teachers and students. The whole day was very enjoyable and a memorable one for everybody.

A staff meeting was conducted on 04th Sep 2019. The meeting was attended by Sri.P.M Unnikrishnan, EO,VKV APT and Teachers of VKV Oyan. The main objective of the meeting was to analyze and discuss the performance of students in 1st periodic test held in the month of July. The Class teachers presented the result of their respective class. An ellaborate discussion on the result was done which was followed by the preparing of future action plan.

Cluster Level Eknathji Football and Volleyball tournament of Siang cluster was hosted by VKV Oyan from 01st Sep 2019 to 03rd Sep 2019.VKV Oyan, VKV Kuporijo, VKV Yinkiong and VKV Basar participated in the event. The tournament is conducted every year by VKV APT to boost the  sportmanship among students and develop interest towards sports and Games.
Sri. Miyam Pait, Head Gram of Oyan Village inaugrated the event. Extending his best wishes to all teams he requested to play in a disciple manner and be victorious. Sri. P.M Unnikrishnan,Education officer ,VKV APT was also present to cheer the students. In volleyball VKV Kuporijo was the winner and VKV Oyan were the runner. In Football, VKV Yinkiong was the final match againts VKV Oyan by 2-0.

The Snehavardhini group of VKV Oyan performed the following activites:

1. Rakhi Making for the celebration of Rakgha Bandhan
2. Helping in organizing the Rakgha Bandhan Celebration
3. Rangoli making in KrishnaJanamastami

Happy Assembly was conducted by Sri.J.N Singh Sir. Happy assembly provided the students a platform to perform their talents. Students performed Drama, Action song and English song. All other students enjoyed the happy assembly a lot.

Eknathji punya tithi, birthday of Mananeeya Eknathji was observed on 22nd August 2019. Kr. Sange Sarjo of Class X gave an outstanding speech on the life and message of Mananyee Eknath Ranade. Students of Class IV and V performed a patriotic song. Teachers and students of offered flowers on the photo of Swami Vivekananda. Smt. Suman Das was the incharge of the programme.

Rank Holders of 1st Periodic Test

The following students were the rank holders of the 1st periodic test of the school.

VKV Oyan hosted the Cluster Level principal meet and Class X subject teacher Workshop of Siang cluster of VKV APT from 25th-27th August 2019. Mananyee Aparna Palkar, Secretary, VKVAPT, Sri. P.M.Unnikrishnan,Education Officer of Siang Cluster and  Sri. Markar Padu ,Cluster Inchargeof Siang Cluster attended the meet. The Schools under siang cluster are VKV Oyan, VKV Jirdin, VKV Kuporijo, VKV Yinkiong and VKV Liromoba.

The main objective of the Subject teacher workshop was to analyze the academic performance of Class X students of respective school and prepare action plan of Better result.The subject Teacher workshop also included Result analysis of 1st periodic test of class X students, their performance in class IX, measures taken for high and low acheivers and overall startegies of teachers and school for good result. The target set by all school was 100% pass and all students should obtain 1st class mark i.e 60% and above.

The principal Meet comprised of discussion on various academic and non academic activities, better school management strategies, future action plans etc. Sri. Shiva Shankar Shandilya,Teacher,VKV Oyan was the overall Incharge of the programme.

Inter class elocution competition was conducted on 8th August 2019. The participants were from class VI to X. The topics of the elocution competition were Girls Education and Impact of Social Media. The result of the inter class Elocution competition was as follows:
1st Prize – Km. Alec Talom of Class VIII
2nd Prize – Km. Dolly Borang of class VIII
3RD Prize- Km. Nanne Pazing of class IX
