The Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Exhibition was organised at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Oyan on 07/11/2025. The event aimed to highlight the school’s efforts in strengthening foundational learning through creative and activity-based teaching methods.
The programme began at 10:00 a.m. with the lighting of “Diya” with “Manglacharan followed by the welcome of the Chief Guest, Sri Odhuk Tabing Sir, DDSE, East Siang, by the Principal, Sri Ashok Singh.  Chief Guest, creating an inspiring atmosphere for the event. The Principal felicitated the Chief Guest as a token of appreciation for his valuable time and encouragement.
After the formal welcome, Principal Sri Ashok Singh delivered his welcome address, emphasising the significance of the FLN Mission in building strong educational foundations among young learners.
More than 150 students participated in the exhibition, presenting more than 150 variety of models, charts, and learning materials related to literacy and numeracy. The Chief Guest, accompanied by the Principal, visited all the exhibits and interacted enthusiastically with the students. He appreciated their creativity, clarity of presentation, and confidence.
In his motivational address, Sri Odhuk Tabing Sir (DDSE, East Siang) encouraged the students to become good human beings, respect their teachers, parents, and elders, and always maintain discipline. He also spoke strongly against bullying and ragging, urging the students to support one another and build a friendly school environment. He appreciated the school for its excellence in education, discipline, and patriotism, and congratulated the staff for their dedicated efforts in nurturing young minds.
After the programme, DDSE Sir visited all the classrooms and specially interacted with the class-X students and motivated them with his motivational speech..
The event was concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Sri S. Baskaran Sir, who expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, teachers, students, and staff for making the programme a grand success, followed by the Shanti Mantra.

The Mathematics and Science Exhibition for students of Classes IV to X was successfully held on 27.10.2025 in the school premises. A total of 236 students participated in the exhibition, who exhibited around 132 models, some of which were working models. The event aimed to foster a spirit of scientific inquiry, logical thinking, and innovation among the students. The exhibition served as an excellent platform for students to hone their communication and presentation skills, as they confidently articulated complex ideas to both judges and visitors. The exhibition was inaugurated by Sri.   D. Apang,   CO, Sille/Oyan. He lauded the students' efforts and emphasized the critical role of STEM education in nation-building.
 The Mathematics section saw an enthusiastic display of conceptual clarity and creativity, particularly from the middle and senior school students. Projects ranged from engaging educational tools to complex mathematical applications. A popular exhibit was the Class IV and V section, where students created board games to simplify concepts like fractions and decimals, making learning fun and accessible.
The Science section was vibrant with working models and innovative experiments covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Some of the participants displayed the human systems in a very innovative way.
A panel of judges, comprising teachers, evaluated the projects based on originality, scientific accuracy, and clarity of presentation. The evaluation process was highly competitive, with a special emphasis placed on the students' ability to explain their methodology and answer challenging questions. Judges praised the students for their deep understanding of scientific principles and their ability to translate theoretical knowledge into tangible, impactful solutions

Inter VKV Eknathji Memorial Football Tournament 2025 was held at VKV Oyan from 23.10.2025 to 24.10.2025. Football teams from 5 VKVs, Basar, EMRS Tirbin, Liromoba, Oyan, and Yingkiong participated in the tournament. 
The inaugural ceremony was held on 23.10.25 at 10 am. ADC Ruksin, Sri. Kiran Ningo was the Chief Guest, Sri Jutin Bori (HGB), and Sri. Tapir Tamut (GB) were the Guests of Honour of the program and were welcomed by the school band. In his speech, Sri. Kiran Ningo mentioned that he is from Yingkiong, and seeing the students of Yingkiong participating in the tournament brought fond memories of his childhood. He motivated the students to play fairly in the matches, and he also mentioned that winning is not the primary goal, but participating in a sportsmanship spirit is the most important aspect of a game. He mentioned that the greatest problem plaguing the state is drug abuse and urged the participants to stay away from drugs.  
A total of 10 matches were played among the schools, wherein each school played one match with each of the other schools. A total of 5 matches were played daily for 2 days. It was observed that all the schools played with utmost discipline, and there were no issues of indiscipline among the participating teams. The initiative taken by the VKVAPT to conduct prayers before and after the matches was found to be very effective in emotional control of the players during and after the matches. VKV Oyan topped the table with 8 points, followed by EMRS Tirbin, 6 points in second position, Liromoba and Yingkiong, 3 points each in third position. The referees and linesmen were from the local football OFC, and their fair decisions won the hearts of the audience present. 
The closing ceremony was held on 24.10.2025 at 4 pm, where Sri. D. Apang, CO Sille, Oyan was the Chief Guest of the program, and in his speech, he said the teams coming from far are to be given extra hospitality so that they have fond memories about the trip. He would have been happier if Liromoba had won the competition, as they had travelled a long distance to play the matches. He urged VKV Oyan to play well in a true sportsman spirit and edify the name of the school and East Siang as a whole. Later on, certificates were distributed as prizes to all the participating teams and a certificate of appreciation to the match officials and escort teachers. It was followed by the Shanti Mantra.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Oyan, celebrated Sri Krishna Janmashtami with great enthusiasm and devotion on the school premises. The program began at 9:15 am with the lighting of the lamp by the Principal, VKV Oyan, and Shri Ashok Singh, invoking the blessings of Lord Krishna for peace and harmony.

All the students together presented a Geet, which created a devotional atmosphere in the prayer hall. Shri Srinivasa Rao, Teacher, highlighted the importance of the day, explaining the significance of Janmashtami in inculcating values of truth, righteousness, and devotion among children.

The celebration was further enriched by a graceful Pooja performance conducted by Shri Subhankar Das, Teacher. Smt presented a melodious Radha-Krishna solo song. Sujata Acharjee, who enthralled the audience.

Various competitions were organized to mark the occasion. The Krishna Bhajan Competition was conducted house-wise, showcasing the musical talents of the students. The Radha-Krishna competition for Classes I to V added colour to the program, as little children dressed up as Radha and Krishna spread joy among all. The much-awaited Pot Breaking Competition was conducted house-wise with great excitement and team spirit, symbolizing the playful childhood of Lord Krishna.

All teaching and non-teaching staff, their family members, Amrit Parivar members, and parents attended the program, making the celebration more vibrant.

The program concluded at 12:30 pm with the chanting of the Shanti Mantra, followed by refreshments.

The celebration created a divine atmosphere on the school campus and helped the students imbibe the values of devotion, discipline, and cultural pride.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Oyan, joyfully celebrated Raksha Bandhan for the session 2025–26 with great enthusiasm and cultural fervour. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by our respected Principal, creating an auspicious beginning to the day’s proceedings. This was followed by a melodious geet presented by the students, setting a devotional and vibrant tone for the celebration.

Smt. Purabi Didi, Teacher, VKV Oyan, highlighted the importance of the day, explaining the spiritual and cultural significance of Raksha Bandhan, and emphasising the bond of love, respect, and protection not only between brothers and sisters but also in the larger sense of harmony and unity in society. Thereafter, Sri Subhankar Das, Teacher, VKV Oyan, led the pooja performance, 
A house-wise drama competition was conducted, where students showcased their talents through thought-provoking and value-based performances, reflecting the message of Raksha Bandhan in creative ways. The programme concluded on the school campus with the collective recitation of the Shanti Mantra by staff and students.

In the spirit of universal brotherhood, selected teams visited different locations for Rakhi tying. At Sille, Smt. Purabi Didi, Smt. Manisha Prasad Singh and Su. Nanung Tarukh, along with a group of girl students, participated in the programme and tied Rakhis to staff members of the Primary Health Centre, Police Station, and GHSS Sille. At Oyan, Sri Dharmeswar Tanti, Sri Mrinal Deori, and Sri Amit Mazumdar, along with girl students, tied Rakhis to the staff of the Circle Office, Agriculture Office, and PHED, spreading the message of peace, love, and unity. All the day-scholar and hostel students, teaching and non-teaching staff, their family members, and Amrit Pariwar's family members attended the programme.

The smooth conduct of the celebration was made possible by the collective efforts of the staff. Sri Thokchom Lenin managed the PA system, Smt. Manisha Prasad, Smt. Purabi Borgohain and Su. Nanung Tarukh arranged the seating, and Sri Rahul Acharjee coordinated the drama competition. Sri Rahul Dey took care of prasad distribution, while Smt. Purabi Didi, Smt. Manisha Prasad and Su. Nanung Tarukh organised the rakhi-making competition. The event was well-documented with photographs by Sri Kshurid Borgohain.

The celebration reflected the ethos of Vivekananda Kendra—“Service to Man is Service to God”—instilling cultural pride, brotherhood, and unity among the students and community.

Guru Purnima is celebrated with great reverence and enthusiasm at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Oyan, on the auspicious day dedicated to expressing gratitude towards teachers and gurus. The celebration followed a well-organized agenda and witnessed the participation of both staff and students.
 Highlights points of the Celebration:
(1)    The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Ashok Singh Sir, Principal, VKV Oyan, symbolizing the removal of darkness and the spread of knowledge and wisdom. It marked the spiritual beginning of the day’s celebration.
(2)     Sir V.P. Mishra addressed the gathering and spoke on the significance of Guru Purnima. He emphasized the role of a Guru in shaping one's character and life and explained the relevance of this tradition in today’s times.
(3)     A spiritual Pooja performance was conducted by Sir C. Srinivashan  Rao, which helped all present to connect with the traditional Indian culture and understand the sacredness of Guru Purnima.
(4)     Sir Pinaki Roy read a special letter from Ma. Nevidita Didi, who conveyed blessings and inspiring thoughts. The letter reflected the essence of dedication, values, and the guiding light that teachers provide to their students.
(5)    As part of the celebrations, a house-wise Bhajan competition was held where students presented self-composed devotional songs dedicated to their Gurus. This segment highlighted students’ creativity, devotion, and musical talent.
(6)    As part of the Guru Purnima celebration, a meaningful essay competition was also organized, providing a platform for young minds to explore and articulate the importance of the Guru and its guidance in one’s life.
(7)    The celebration became more meaningful with the collective involvement of the VKV Oyan family as Amrit Parivar, who came together as one to pay homage to the guiding light of our lives with the blessing of the Gurus.

VKV Oyan organized a residential Prerana Shibir from 28th to 29th June 2025 for Class VII students. The program commenced at 9:00 AM. VKV Oyan Principal Shri Ashok Singh received the Chief Guest, BDO Mebo Shri Tamin Lollenji, with a band. The program began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest, followed by Manglacharan. A patriotic song was then presented by Sri Suvankar Das
Das, sir, along with the students.

Afterward, Shri Ashok Singh Sir welcomed the Chief Guest, felicitated him, and shared the objectives of the camp. In his address, the Chief Guest praised VKV for imparting quality education and rendering selfless service in Arunachal Pradesh. He remarked, 'VKV students are known for their sincerity, punctuality, and discipline,' and encouraged the participants to make the most of this opportunity. He emphasized that the Prerana Shibir would further shape their personality. The inaugural session concluded with the Shanti Mantra. A total of 33 students participated in the Shibir.
Outcome
The camp was successful in achieving its objective of igniting the young minds with positive values, national pride, and a disciplined approach to life. The feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive. Students displayed active participation and curiosity throughout all sessions.
