Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Exhibition at VKV Oyan

The Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Exhibition was organised at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Oyan on 07/11/2025. The event aimed to highlight the school’s efforts in strengthening foundational learning through creative and activity-based teaching methods.
The programme began at 10:00 a.m. with the lighting of “Diya” with “Manglacharan followed by the welcome of the Chief Guest, Sri Odhuk Tabing Sir, DDSE, East Siang, by the Principal, Sri Ashok Singh. Chief Guest, creating an inspiring atmosphere for the event. The Principal felicitated the Chief Guest as a token of appreciation for his valuable time and encouragement.
After the formal welcome, Principal Sri Ashok Singh delivered his welcome address, emphasising the significance of the FLN Mission in building strong educational foundations among young learners.
More than 150 students participated in the exhibition, presenting more than 150 variety of models, charts, and learning materials related to literacy and numeracy. The Chief Guest, accompanied by the Principal, visited all the exhibits and interacted enthusiastically with the students. He appreciated their creativity, clarity of presentation, and confidence.
In his motivational address, Sri Odhuk Tabing Sir (DDSE, East Siang) encouraged the students to become good human beings, respect their teachers, parents, and elders, and always maintain discipline. He also spoke strongly against bullying and ragging, urging the students to support one another and build a friendly school environment. He appreciated the school for its excellence in education, discipline, and patriotism, and congratulated the staff for their dedicated efforts in nurturing young minds.
After the programme, DDSE Sir visited all the classrooms and specially interacted with the class-X students and motivated them with his motivational speech..
The event was concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Sri S. Baskaran Sir, who expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, teachers, students, and staff for making the programme a grand success, followed by the Shanti Mantra.
