Sadhana Divas and Library Week Celebration

Today, we celebrated Sadhana Divas, marking the birth anniversary of Mananeeya Eknathji Ranade, the founder of Vivekananda Kendra with great enthusiasm.

Morning Assembly: The celebration began with the morning assembly, where Sri Tripur Mardan Chaubey, the
Principal of the Vidayalaya delivered a special message emphasising Eknathji's unwavering dedication, discipline, and commitment to the nation. Students were encouraged to follow his ideals and work with sincerity and devotion, embodying his service-oriented approach to life.
Inauguration of Library Week:
The celebration of Library Week commenced today, running from 19th to 26th November. This annual event is held to promote reading habits among students and remind them of the timeless value of books. This year, the celebration kicked off with great enthusiasm, honouring the spirit of Bharatiyata, which cherishes knowledge, culture, and wisdom rooted in Indian tradition.

Inaugural Program
The inaugural session began with the lighting of the lamp by the esteemed Chief Guest, Sri Tagio Kodak, Assistant Public Information Officer, District Training Organiser, and District Sports Coordinator, DDSE Upper Subansiri District.
The program proceeded with a Vivek Vani presented by Km. Niania Duchok of Class VII, followed by a felicitation of the Chief Guest. Km. Tutu Ekke of Class VII then shared the significance of the day, explaining the importance of Library Week in fostering strong reading habits among students.
Storytelling and Skit Performances
A captivating storytelling session was presented by Kr. Sarji Raji of Class IV and the students of Class III performed a skit emphasising the importance of reading, reminding the audience that books play a crucial role in shaping both knowledge and character.
Chief Guest’s Address
In his address, the Chief Guest emphasised the importance of learning a new word every day, stating, "Words rule the world." He encouraged students to build a strong vocabulary to express themselves confidently. He elaborated on how regular reading enhances concentration, analytical thinking, and clarity of expression. Furthermore, he described the library as a vital community learning centre that serves as a bridge between knowledge and wisdom, helping students cultivate deep reading habits and a greater understanding of the world.
Principal’s Message
The Principal expressed appreciation for the Chief Guest’s inspiring words, stressing the significance of a good vocabulary and reading skills in achieving success. He encouraged students to make reading a daily habit, reflecting the core values of Bharatiyata, where knowledge is seen as a guiding light for personal growth.
Activities of the Day
- Drawing and Poem Recitation Competition for Balvatika students
- Book Exhibition
- Book Donation Drive, where both students and teachers contributed books to enhance the school’s library collection.
Extempore Speech (Classes VI to VIII)
In addition to the above programs, the English Department of the Vidyalaya conducted an Extempore Speech activity for the students of Classes VI to VIII. This activity provided them with an excellent platform to build confidence, enhance their communication skills, and develop the ability to think and speak spontaneously. Total participants: 38
Written Test for Teachers:
Finally, the celebration ended with a written test of the teachers on the letter of Sadhana Divas by Mananeeya Nivedita Didi.



VKV Kuporijo celebrated National Sports Day on 29th August with great enthusiasm. On this occasion, an Inter-House Chess Competition was organized for the students. The objective of the event was to encourage strategic thinking, concentration, and healthy competition among students.
