National Library Week was celebrated by VKV Kuporijo from 19/11/2021 to 26/11/2021 at school playground. The main purpose of this event was to encourage reading habits in students.

The event started with the lighting of lamp by our Principal Sir in the morning assembly, after that Probin Mili librarian of VKV Kuporijo encouraged the students to develop a reading habit. Babu Rigia student of class VI gave a speech on “Importance of library”. Our principal sir also motivated the students to read books. On occasion of library week some literary activities were conducted from 20/11/2021 to 25/11/2021 in two categories: category-I (class-III to V) a) drawing competition (Theme-Cleanliness), b) Aloud Reading Contest, c) Paragraph Writing on Library, and d) storytelling competition. For category-II (class-VI to IX) a) Book cover painting, b) Essay on “Importance & role of libraries in our society”, c) Quotation Writing on “Library/Books/Reading Habits”, and d) book review on “wings of fire”. Book Exhibition was held at school playground by librarian. Book donation drive was also initiated on the occasion of library week, staff members and students donated total 32 numbers of books.

prize was distributed to the students. all the students participated and with the co-operation of all the staff members the event was successful.
