The School Science Exhibition 2025 was successfully organized on 10th November 2025 at the school playground under the theme “STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.” The event aimed to promote scientific curiosity, creativity, and innovation among students, providing them with a platform to showcase their scientific talents through various projects and models.
Objectives• To encourage students’ interest in scientific concepts and their practical applications.
• To provide hands-on experience through model-making and experimentation.
• To promote teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
• To identify young talents and innovative thinkers among students.
Programme Highlights
The exhibition began at 9:00 AM with the arrival of participants and the arrangement of stalls. The inaugural ceremony commenced at 10:00 AM with the welcome of the Chief Guest, Su. Roniya Marbom, District Disaster Management Officer, Upper Subansiri, and the lighting of the lamp, accompanied by Mangalacharan under the guidance of Sri Dubey Sir.
The Vice-Principal, Sri Anand Dutta Sir, delivered the welcome address, followed by a motivating speech by the Chief Guest, emphasizing the importance of scientific thinking in everyday life. The exhibition was formally inaugurated at 10:30 AM.
Exhibition and Participation
The exhibition featured three sections:
• Section A (Classes 3–5): Basic science concepts and models demonstrating everyday applications.
• Section B (Classes 6–7): Experiments and working models on environmental and technological themes.
• Section C (Classes 8–9): Innovative projects on renewable energy, robotics, and environmental sustainability.
A total of 57 models/charts were displayed, with 171 students participating from classes 3 to 9. Students displayed their creativity through models such as hydraulic bridges, solar-powered devices, water filtration systems, and disaster management kits. The Chief Guest, Vice-Principal, judges, teachers, and students visited each stall, interacted with participants, and appreciated their innovative ideas.

Outcome and Feedback
The exhibition provided a valuable learning experience for students. It enhanced their scientific knowledge, teamwork, and communication skills. The Chief Guest and visitors appreciated the students’ efforts and encouraged them to pursue science with curiosity and creativity.
Conclusion
The Science Exhibition 2025 at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Kuporijo, was a successful one. It inspired students to explore scientific ideas beyond textbooks and strengthened their confidence in applying science for social good. The school extends heartfelt thanks to all teachers, students, and staff members for their dedication and teamwork in making the event memorable.

Hearty congratulations to Kr. Shishir Bhadhury, Cl. VIII, VKV Kuporijo, for winning the Third Prize at the National level in the 31st World Ozone Day – Slogan Writing Competition.  The theme was  From Science to Global Action
The programme was organised by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Govt of India. The Prizes were awarded on 16 September 2025. 

•    The event began with a dignified lighting of the lamp by Chief Guest Sri Nikrong Bui, followed by devotional Mangalacharan that set a solemn and respectful tone.
•    A rich cultural programme showcased the creative talents of VKV Kuporijo students across age groups — from UKG action dance to Class IX traditional dances and a thematic drama by hostellers.
•    Key speeches and recitations underlined the ideals of Swami Vivekananda: unity, service, pride in cultural identity, and education as a force beyond mere employment.
•    Gita chanting and the Vivek Vani segment deepened the spiritual and philosophical focus of the celebration.
•    Traditional dances representing local communities (Nishi, Apatani, Galo, Tagin) highlighted the region’s cultural diversity and fostered community pride.
•    The event drew active participation from parents and staff, reflecting strong school-community engagement.

Summary of Chief Guest’s Address (Sri Nikrong Bui)
•    Warmly thanked and acknowledged the invitation; commended VKV Kuporijo for organising the celebration.
•    Emphasised the importance of giving students opportunities to express creativity and showcase their talents.
•    Spoke on the relevance of Universal Brotherhood in today’s world, referencing regional examples (Nepal, Bangladesh) to illustrate cross-border cultural unity.
•    Urged students  — to take pride in being VKVians and in their cultural heritage.
•    Stressed respect for all religions and the idea that the earth is one family.
•    Reinforced that education is not only for securing jobs but also for character building and societal service.
•    Encouraged students to work for society and to carry forward the values of unity, service, and respect.

Conclusion
Universal Brotherhood Day at VKV Kuporijo on 11 September 2025 was a successful and meaningful celebration that combined cultural pride, spiritual reflection, and community participation. The event reinforced the values of unity, respect across religions and cultures, and service to society—aligned with the teachings of Swami Vivekananda. The students’ performances and the Chief Guest’s inspiring message made the day memorable for all attendees.

VKV Kuporijo celebrated National Sports Day on 29th August with great enthusiasm. On this occasion, an Inter-House Chess Competition was organized for the students. The objective of the event was to encourage strategic thinking, concentration, and healthy competition among students.
The competition saw active participation from all houses. 
The event concluded successfully with the message of sportsmanship and mental discipline. The winners were appreciated and motivated to continue their efforts in future competitions.

Totom Rigia, a Class 10 student from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV) Kuporijo, has brought laurels to Arunachal Pradesh by securing top positions at the recently concluded YUVIKA (Yuva Vigyani Karyakram) 2025—an annual young scientist programme organised by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
Rigia was among eight students selected from Arunachal Pradesh to participate in the two-week residential training programme held from May 19 to 30 at the North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NE-SAC) in Shillong. 
The prestigious programme aims to introduce schoolchildren to the fundamentals of space science, technology, and applications, with a focus on nurturing scientific curiosity among the nation’s youth.
This year, ISRO shortlisted 350 students from across India out of nearly 98,000 applicants based on a structured selection process. 
The immersive programme included lectures, hands-on technical sessions, model rocket making, telescope integration, practical 3D and virtual reality training, drone and robotics demonstrations, and cultural activities.
Participants also had the opportunity to witness a live Rohini-200 sounding rocket launch, engage in a self-defence workshop, and attend an interactive online session with Indian astronaut Angad Prathap. 
Educational visits were conducted to the Science Centre and Planetarium in Guwahati, Eastern Air Command, and Don Bosco Museum in Shillong.
Showcasing his academic and analytical aptitude, Totom secured the second position in a quiz competition and third place in a project presentation held after the programme.
The young achiever is the son of Dikto Rigia and Meena Mara Rigia of Daporijo in Upper Subansiri district.

VKV Kuporijo celebrated National Youth Day, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda with pomp and enthusiasm on 12 January in the school premises. The program was witnessed by 95 parents , 175 students and hosts of VKV alumi and well wishers.  Sri Giamde Tamin Gumja, General Secretary of VKV alumni Association and Assistant General Secretary of Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest who was accorded a warm welcome by Sri Tripur M P Chaubey, Principal of the Vidayalaya.
Speaking on the significance of the day, Sri Ananda Dutta, teacher of the Vidyalaya highlighted the pivotal role played by Swami Vivekananda to disseminate the Vedantic philosophy to the entire World and thereby establishing a revered position of Bharat in the world. He stressed that he is the ideal icon for the youth of India and continues to inspire generation after generation. He also urged all to materialize the dream of Swami Vivekananda to make Bharat a Jagat guru by their contribution to the society.
Sri Giamde Tamin, Chief Guest of the program reflected on some reminiscences of his school life and exhorted the highly dedicated staffs of VKVs to render selfless service to Arunachal Pradesh. He stressed that VKVs are still considered the pioneer in education in Arunachal Pradesh which have produced legions of efficient people in all walks of life. He appealed all the parents to provide all sorts of assistance to the institution so that it continues to render service to the society. Highlighting the role of Alumi Assiociation, he said that VKV alumni Association would be always working in tandem with the VKVs through thick and thin.
The celebration was also studded with cultural programs presented by the students which were appreciated by all the gathering.

On  21^st June 2022, we have celebrated International Day of Yoga focusing on the theme “Yoga for Humanity”. Giving emphasis to the numerous benefits and achieving the holistic development of our health through regular practice of Yoga and also highlighted the good food habits to be inculcated in our daily life.

Following activities has been conducted:

1. Painting and poster made by the students of VKV Kuporijo were displayed on wall magazine for IDY.
2. Mass Yoga in different nearby places/institutions, parents and well wisher.

Details of the Mass Yoga are given below:

1. VKV KUPORIJO: We practiced Yoga in school in three groups i.e. 1. Primary (CL-III TO V), 2.Middle (CL- VI TO VIII) & 3. Secondary (IX & X) focusing the holistic development of children through practicing Yoga in daily life. It was Guided and instructed by Shri Bharatsingh Senabaya Deori sir with the help of Shri Satyendra Yadav sir and Shri Prabin Mili sir.
2. Start- 3 omkar, Santhi patha “ Om Sahana Bhavatu” and Bharat Mata Pranam.
3. End - Yoga Sankalpa ,Santih patha “ sarve bhavantu sukhinah” and a beautiful song.
4. Sec. School Lida: IDY programme was conducted with the collaboration of VKV Kuporijo with their teachers and students and it was instructed by Shri Tilak Bura gohain Sir(PT) and demonstrated by six students from our school.
