Guru Purnima Celebration - VKV Wessang
VKV Wessang have celebrated 7th International Yoga Day on 21st June, 2021 among the staff and the students of VKV Wessang. Today at 7 A.M. in the morning, the available members in the campus practiced Yoga with Surya Namaskar at the school auditorium hall. 10 persons (2 teaching staff, 3non-teaching staff, and 5 family members of staff) attended the programme. The students were asked to practice 12 rounds of Surya Namaskar with their family members from 6 A.M to 8.30 A.M. We have received Surya Namaskar videos in whatsapp from the families of 32 students of different classes. Total number of family members who participated in the programme is 97.
158th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated in school auditorium. The chief guest in the programme was Shri. Momar Ete, J.E., W.R.D. With lighting of the lamp, the programme was started. Shri Sanjeeb kr. Kar principal extended his warm welcome to one and all present on the occasion. Then a song based on Swamiji was sung by the students of VKV class X. Shri. Ramendra Prasad delivered a speech on the significance of the day. In the programme, three Cultural programmes were performed by the students of VKV Wessang and KGBV Wessang. In the speech of respected Chief Guest, he encouraged the students to be punctual and hardworker. An online drawing competition was conducted among the students of class I to VII on the theme “Vivekananda Kendra” and essay competition was conducted among the students of class VIII to X on the topic “Life and Message of Swami Vivekananda”. Prizes were distributed to the winners by the Chief Guest. Vote of thanks was addressed by Smt. Manisha Devi. The programme was concluded with Shanti Mantra. At 5.00 PM, “Ahuti Satra” was conducted in front of the Bharat Mata.
Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated with full enthusiasm and zeal in Nyader Namlo, Seppa on 11th September 2020. The event was attended by 60 members including the Chief Guest, Guest of Honor, other dignitaries, school teaching staff, non-teaching staff, children and well wishers. The event was organized in collaboration with VKV Wessang, KGBV Wesang and Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Seppa Branch.
Our honorable Chief Guest, Shri P. Pravimal Abhisekh, D.C. East Kameng and Guest of honor, Shri Ashok Tajo, Project Director, DRDA Seppa arrived at 9:00 am. All the members attended the event by maintaining social distancing. The event began with lightening the lamp by Chief Guest followed by invocation. Our Principal, Shri Sanjeeb Kr. Kar presented the Welcome Speech. After that our Chief Guest and Guest of honor were felicitated by Shri Tara Kamchi, Nagar Pramukh, Seppa. Then Shri Tara Kamchi spoke about the significance of the day. After that, a patriotic group song was performed by the students of class IX and X, VKV Wessang. Then, a speech was given by our Guest of honor. In his speech, he suggested to set a platform for the students where they can learn not only Hindi or English language but also their mother tongue, culture and tradition which will help them to know their roots. Then a patriotic group song was performed by our Vivekananda Kendra Karyakartas of Seppa Branch. After that our honorable Chief Guest has given a motivational speech. In his speech, he has given the broader concept of Universal Brotherhood Day. He asked the people not to see Universal Brotherhood Day as a single dimensional aspect of a religion but to see this day as a multidimensional aspect of life. Respect and tolerance should be imbibed to build the feeling of brotherhood in the people. He suggested the students to question everything and never believe in blind faith. Then a Nyishi group dance was performed by the Karyakartas of Vivekananda Kendra followed by another Nyishi group dance by the students of KGBV, Wessang. The vote of thanks was delivered by Shri Tajit Nalo, Principal KGBV Wessang. The programme was ended at 10:30 am with Shanti Mantra.
On 22nd August 2020, the Punya Tithi of Mananeya Ekanthji Ranade was celebrated in VKV Wessang. 10 Residential teachers of VKV Wessang and KGBV, Wessang and 3 Bhaiyas attended the programme. The programme was started with three Omkaras. All the attendents sang the song “ Hum Anuyayee Eknath ke” followed by offering of flowers by the staff to the great soul. A contemplation programme was conducted in the school office on the book “Sadhana of Service”. All the teachers have shared their views based on the particular books that have been discussed in the Swadhyaya since 22nd July 2020. It was a very thought provoking discussion.
Hearts field with nationalism feeling,the family of VKV Wessang celebrated 74th Independence Day. All the teaching and non-teaching staff with the family members gathered at the school ground for the programme of flag hoisting. The celebration started with the hoisting of the national flag at 7.30am. Sri Sanjeeb Kumar Kar, Principal of the school has hoisted the flag. The staff members who are with the family members have taken selfie with the national flag and children were dressed up as freedom fighters of our country. At 4.30pm, the national flag was retreated with the presence of the staff of VKV Wessang.
Janmasthami was celebrated with full excitement and spirit in the school on the auspicious day of Bhadrapad Krishna Janmaasthami. The event was attended by 20 members including the school teaching staff, non teaching staff and their family members.
The event started at 5p.m. in the auditorium. It began with three ‘Omkars’ and Mangalacharan, then Shri Ramendra Prasad performed the Puja ceremony. After that Su. Ratna Saha spoke about the importance of the day. A few Bhajans were sung group wise, such as,
Lady teachers group: “Achyutam Keshabam Krishna Damodarom”
Gents Teachers Group: “Badi derbhayee Nanda lala”
Bhaiyas Group: “Gopala Gopala Re ”
Staff Children Group: “I love my dear Krishna Kanhya”
The event ended with Shanti Mantra.
On this auspicious day of Sravan Poornima of Hindu calendar, Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with full enthusiasm and zeal in the school auditorium. The event was attended by 20 members including the school teaching staffs, non-teaching staffs and their family members by maintaining social distancing. The in charges of the event were Su Srishti Rai and Su Ratna Saha.
The event started at 9:30 am in the auditorium. The event began with 3 omkaras followed by Mangalacharan. Then Shri. Ramendra Prasad sir spoke about the importance of the day. After that Sri Sanjeeb Kr. Kar, Principal offered Rakhi to 'OM' and Swamiji. Then Rakhi was tied to trees, plants and animals by the members of VKV, Wessang family. Raksha Bandhan wishes was also written on greeting cards and put inside an envelope along with Rakhi and delivered to our well-wishers and nearby departments by maintaining social distance. Rakhi was also kept at the gate of the school with greetings so that the interested people can take from there.
