On 18 June 2022, our school organized a science exhibition program on our school premises. The ZPM of Sunpura circle, Sri. P.K. Pandey Sir CIC and the School Supporting Group members were our  guest members on this special day. The program was started from 11am. All the students from class III to class X had participated in the event. They had displayed the various Charts, both working and static Models as well as medical plants collected by them . Students presented different types of models which were related to different branches of science like molecular models, space satellites, 3D hologram, rain water alarm model, solar systems, etc. Our Honorable  Guest members along with the Principal of the institution surveyed the entire exhibition and also took details from the Respective Students about each of their models. Simultaneously, the other staff members in the exhibition also thoroughly enjoyed the event and gave different suggestions for their performances and their improvement. After that our principal Didi gave motivation and suggestions regarding their models and their creativities. Along with these there was also a display of some medicinal plants along with the demonstration of theirs medicinal value by the students. The principal and along with the other teaching staff encouraged to those students who had made very good models and also explained their models well. Along with this she also distributed the prizes to those students who had made very good models and also explained their models well. In the end, the students were appreciated by everyone for participating in this science exhibition event and asked them to prepare more good models in future. And they were  announced that there will be an another exhibition in the month of October which will be held among various schools nearby our locality.

The International Yoga day 2022 themed “ Yoga for humanity” was celebrated in our school today  i.e, on 21/06/22 in the morning at 7:00 a.m. The event took place in the presence of all our staff members, students, participants from our neighboring schools- Hatiduba and Yeliang High school and few members from SSG. The session was held in two parts and two rounds. Class 9 and 10 students along with the guest and others participants   from others school were performing in the prayer hall while primary students were at the dining hall in the 1^st round due to heavy rain. The 2^nd round was held on prayer hall with the students of class 6,7,and 8 along with the day scholars  at 9:30am. The program includes-

• Lighting of lamp by the Chief Guest and the Principal.
• Invocation prayer by class 9 students.
• Welcome speech by the Principal of the institution.
• Speech on importance of the day.
• Yoga demonstration by class 7 students.
• Warm up exercise by all the participants.
• Performing Surya Namaskar and Pranayama by all the participants.
• Vote of thanks.
• Shanti Mantra.

 The entire program went smoothly and the Surya Namaskar was done for 12 rounds along with different Asanas with lead and follow by the Yoga teacher Smt. Pronami Hazarika. There were teachers all around to help the participants in case they had trouble in performing or understanding the asana.  All of them had participated eagerly.   The session ended up successfully with the vote of thanks and the Shanti Mantra.  Yoga day was celebrated with great enthusiasm  and joy and ended with high spirit in the minds of all the participants.

Vivekanandakendra vidyalaya Sunpura celebrated the world environmental day on 5th June 2022 in the school campus in collaboration with Department of forest. Sri.T.Pertin,DFO,Tezu visited the campus one week advance as per our request. Finalised the location for plantation and by using the man power of the department we prepared the area by cutting grass and digging soil for the planned plantation. On the day of the celebration we had a plantation drive, honourable ,DFO Sri.T.Pertin and Smt.Angenlu Minin Chaitom ,ZPM,Sunpura,C.O Sunpura were  the guests present on the occasion.Around 40 fruit plant saplings were planted,Target is 400.

 Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Sunpura organized Amrit Parivar Milan Samaroh on the occasion of Gita Jayanti . The agenda of the programme was to make the people aware of the need of unity, love,  togetherness and maintaining a happy and conducive environment at home.

The programme started at around 2.30 pm. At first, the registration of the parents were done and they were heartily welcomed by everyone in a ritualistic way. Then, after the arrival of the honourable chief guest they were felicitated. The lighting of the lamp was done by honourable chief guest along with the Principal of the school. The students chanted the prayer while lighting the lamp. Then, the agenda and events of the programme were read out in front of everyone. The Principal of the school welcomed everyone with a thoughtful speech. Then,  a patritic song was sung by the students. All the parents that were present in the programme were given the opportunity to introduce themselves and say a few words. Then , the speech regarding the significance of the day was given in which it was spoken about the importance of family and the ways we should adopt to maintain a healthy atmosphere at home for the well-being of the family and mostly the children. After the speech was over, the families were made to play some  games together. Some refreshments were provided to all after the games. Children were also provided the opportunity to speak about the happy events that they like in their family. Then, a speech was given by the honourable chief guest to address the gathering. By the end of the programme, all of them took the vow of maintaining Amrit Parivar in order to live a happy and peaceful life. Lastly,  the programme ended with a vote of thanks and shanti mantra.
