After completion of school programme , we proceeded to general ground for witnessing the general programme organized by the district administration. Sri Tarin Dakpe, Honourable MLA of Raga was the chief guest on this occasion.
VKV, Raga observed World Elephant Conservation Day by cleaning, watering of saplings in the school campus. After that we proceeded to market area. Students were made to collect plastic mateials lying on the raod side . We have a good conversation with the shopkeepers and local public and made them aware about the cleanliness and how to conserve our natural resources . We also explained about the importance of the day with the general public.
Mahasamadhi Diwas was observed in the prayerhall, the programme was started with lighting of lamb by Principal. And the speech given by Sri Gama Singh on the life story on Swami Vivekananda
Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Raga celebrated the festival of Vasant Panchami or Saraswati Puja on 16th Feb, 2021 in a grand way. It was the first celebration of the academic session with the students. All other celebrations were without students. So it was a unique programme on its own way.
We asked the students to report to school at 10 am in their traditional attire. Not only the students, the teaching staff too came wearing their traditional dresses. So it was very colourful to see the school campus buzzing with the sanctity and sacredness of the celebration.
The programme started at 10 am positively. Sri Raju Mishra conducted the Puja while the teaching staff and the children recited the mantras after him. There were five bhajans of Devi sung lead and follow. This made the whole prayer hall devotional. Students of class VIII were asked to keep their books in front of the Puja pedestal. After the bhajans were over, the Principal of the school Sri Trilochan Goutam addressed the gathering with his blessings. He highlighted the importance of the day telling why the day is very special for the students especially. He also explained why we worhip different Gods and Goddesses in our Sanatana culture. The children and the staff listened attentively.
All children were put the Tika and Chandanam. Raksha Sutra was also tied to their wrists. Then the Puja was completed at 11 am. The prasadam was distributed to all. Khhichdi was also prepared and served. It was liked and relished by all, especially the children. The celebration ended at 1 pm with the children leaving the school campus.
Indegenous Faith Day Celebrated
This is to inform you that our school celebrated the Indigenous Faith Day 2020.
The school invited the local Nider Nàmlo prayer team. They all came, hoisted the Donyi Polo flag with invocation and prayers.
There was invitation from the Namlo to attend the general celebration. So we staff went there and attended till the end.
