
The Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas organizes various programmes for the all round development of the children. Among these one of the most important programme is Sadgamaya Shibir meant for middle school students of government and other private schools. We VKV Raga also organized 3 days residential camp from 4th October to 6th October 2017. The total numbers of camp participants were 48. The 16 students from Govt Middle School Raga 1 and 32 students from Hutto Middle School Raga.
On the first day students reported in the school at 3 p.m. the registration was done 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Assembly was conducted at 4:40 p.m. after making all the residential arrangement prayer session was started at 6:00 p.m. sharply. The prayer was started with three Ommkaras followed by ombhadrang karnevi, bhajan and kendra prayer after the prayer introduction of the participants, aim and objective of the camp, group formation and group leader selection was taken place. Supper was provided at 7:30 p.m. after the supper students again assembled in the hall for games and cultural activities. After Ananda mela students were asked to sit and made them to recall the past 6 hours activities. At 9:30 p.m. all the students went to their respective vihar.

The morning prayer was started at 6:00 O’ clock followed by Yoga and pranayama exercise. The benefit of the yoga and pranayama was told by Kailash Tiadi and Padmanabhan V.P principal VKV Raga. At 7:10 a.m. shibir geet practice was taken by Abhishek Tiwari. Just after the breakfast rangoli making was started. The sadgamaya shibir inauguration programme was started at 9:30 a.m. the programme was started with the lightening of the lamp by honourable chief guest of the programme Dr. R. Nabam, vetnary and animal husbandry department Raga. Followed by welcome song and well speech from principal VKV Raga. Dr. R. Nabam advised and motivated the students for hardworking and also taught about the beliefs of Hinduism, Like satya yug, terethayug, kaliyug and dwaparyug.
Session –I (10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.)
The first session of the day was started at 10:30 a.m. on the topic “Good qualities of the student’s by Padmanabhan V.P where all the students were listening carefully and noted down the essential qualities of the students in their note books. The session was found to be result oriented.
Session – II (11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
The next session was about “web of life” conducted by Rajiv Muang. In this session students were made to understand about the importance of our culture. All the camp participants took part actively in this session.
The 3rd session of the day was started at 2:00 P.m. on the topic “pariksha de haste haste”
Session – III (2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.)
(examination with happiness). In this session students were thought various technique, valuable and helpful guidance in connection with examination by Priyanka Tiwari.
Session – IV (3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
In the fourth session relay drawing competition was organized, this session was conducted by Rajiv Muang. In this session students were asked to draw different picture based on livelihood. All the students actively took part in this competition. After relay drawing competition group discussion was conducted. In this session students were given different topic like how to become a good citizen, how to keep clean Raga etc.
Evening games period was started at 4:20 p.m. where the student learned new games and enjoyed. The regular evening prayer was being conducted at 6:00 O’ clock followed by house wise group discussion competition. At 6:40 moral stories was told to the camp participants. After supper students were again assembled in the prayer hall and performed Nyishi traditional dance, drama etc. after Ananda mela students were asked to sit in a circle and recall whole day programme. All the students went to their respective vihar for sleeping at 9:40 p.m.

The morning prayer was being conducted sharply at 6:00 O’ clock led by prayer- in charge Priyanka Tiwari. The students were asked to maintain silent for few minutes. The zero movement session was started with Yoga and Pranayama. The next was followed by geet practice led by Abhishek Tiwari.
Session –I (9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.)
After breakfast and cleaning work the first session of the day was started on the topic Indegenous faith and culture of A.P. This session was taken by Rajiv Muang. In this session students were made to understand about Indegenous Faith and Culture, Donyipolo religion, Indigenous Festival, customs, historical places of A.P. etc.
Session – II (10:00 a.m. to 10:40 a.m.)
The second session was taken by Abhishek Tiwari on the topic Vivekananda Kendra and its activities. He spoke about the aims and objectives of the Vivekananda Kendra and its branches.
Valedictory Function – (11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
The valedictory function was started at 11:00 a.m. Sri U.S. Negi vice – principal of Government higher Secondary school, Raga arrived as chief of the valedictory programme. The three days Sadgamaya Shibir report was read out by Rajiv Muang. The best camp participants, best group leader, group competition winners were awarded and also certificate of participation was given to all the camp participants. Sri U.S. Negi thankful to VKV Raga for organizing sadgamaya Shibir and also made the students to understand the importance of personality development in his word. The programme was concluded with vote of thanks and santimantra.

Universal Brotherhood Day was observed in our school with great zeal and enthusiasm on 11thSeptember to commemorate the epoch making speech of Swami Vivekananda at Wold Parliament of Religions. It was observed in two phases. In the morning at sharp 7.30 a.m. a procession was led from Yada General ground to Raga market. At market place in front of the public gathering one of our students delivered a speech on Swami Vivekananda.
Just after that students were taken back to the school where a school level programme was kept. The programme was graced by Shri Longku Aken, School Management Committee Chairman by lighting the lamp. Shri Rajiv Muang addressed welcome to all the presentees. Shri Padmanabhan V.P. the Principal spoke about the importance of the day. In his speech he mainly emphasized about the greatness of India. He also appealed to all the students to follow the path of Swami Vivekananda. Shri Abhishek Tiwari delivered a hindi speech on Swami Vivekananda. A housewise speech competition on Swami Vivekananda and Sister Nivedita was also conducted on the occasion.

The Home Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Sri. Kumar wai visited our school on 05/02/17 evening at 4.30PM. Sri. Maga Tasso, the alumni of VKV , delivered a brief speech about how VKV Raga started its nation building process at Raga. He even made it clear that the Ex VKV ian forum donated their one month salary for the beginning of this school. In short but gentle words the Minister reminded the need of school in a place for developments. He appreciated the work of teachers those who made Arunachal on the path of development. He asked the dignitaries to contribute money for bringing up schools in place of spending in church and temples. He also accepted the demand of upgrading our school up to class X. He assured that he would do all types of help for the betterment of VKV Raga. He announced 20 Solar lights and 2 colour TV s for our school. After his speech Principal,VKV Raga extended his thanks for his maiden visit and assured that school would follow his inspiring words and work for making Arunachal a great state. Token love was also given to three most important dignitaries who visited our school.
The people who viited our school were Sri. Kumar Waii, Honourble Minister,Sri. Tamar Murtem, Honourable MLA,Sri. Millo Kojin, ADC- Raga, Sri. Maga Tasso, Smt. Maga Mala-ZPM, Engineers from various departments, District Medical Officer, Medical Officer from Raga Dr. Kime Sunia etc.

The 68th Republic Day was celebrated in our school with much enthusiasm. In the very early foggy morning at exactly 6 a.m. we started prabhat pheri along with the band team accompanied with 210 students via Raga market to Medical line. At sharp 7 a.m. our Principal Shri Pdmanabhan VP hoisted the try-colour flag with great patriotic zeal. Even he spoke on the importance of the day. In his short but precious words he appealed all the students to have the tribute to those who have sacrificed their lives for the sake of Mother India. Sweets were distributed to all the students. At 8 a.m. we did proceed to Yada General Ground where our band as well as parade team gave an impressive show. Moreover, our students presented a PT display and patriotic dance performance. The Chief Guest on the very day was ADC Raga.

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti was celebrated in our school with great zest and zeal. Various colourful programmes were unleashed on the occasion by the students like patriotic dance, traditional dance, classical dance, mime, drama etc. 250 gatherings including parents, well –wishers and SMC members witnessed the programme. Shri Lomdik Lipin, Joint BDO Raga as well as Shri Nitin Godak, Senior Teacher Secondary Scchool Godak graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. Shri Padmanabhan VP, Principal of the school addressed a warm welcome to one and all. Shri Abhishek Tiwari spoke about the significance of the day. The Guest of Honour in his short speech stressed on the greatness of Swami Vivekananda. He appealed the students to follow the ideals and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. Moreover, the Chief Guest in his speech praised VKVs and teachers. He mainly emphasized on ‘The Role of youths’. He stated that education means not only to get the job and high salaries it means to become a good and responsible person of a society. He told a countries development is highly depends upon its youth. He also requested to all the respective parents to monitor their wards now and then and to keep touch with the teachers. Towards the end of the programme prizes of ‘Essay Writing’ as well as ‘Drawing Competition’ conducted among the neighboring school was given away by the hands of Chief Guest and Guest of Honour. Shri Ganesh Dhungana one of the teachers propsed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded successfully with shanti mantra.

Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated with great pomp and show among parents, teachers, students as well as well-wishers of the school commemorating the epoch making speech by Swami Vivekananda in Chicago, USA.The programme was started at sharp 10.30 a.m by lighting the lamp with an invocation song sung by class VIII students. Shri Millo Kojin, A.D.C. Raga and Shri Inya Eta, Sub-inspector of police Raga graced the programme as the chief guest and guest of honour. Shri Padmanaban VP, Principal of the school greeted the parents, guests, and other invitees in his welcome address. A teacher of school Shri Ganesh Dhungana spoken on the significance of the day. The Guest of Honour, Shri Inya Eta highlighted about Swami Vivekananda, who is known throughout the world for his inspiring speech at the Parliament of the World’s Religion at Chicago. He also highlighted about the role of the youths towards society. Towards the end of his speech he appealed all the students and parents to follow the message of Swami Vivekananda “Arise awake stop not till the goal is reached”. Moreover, the Chief Guest, Shri Millo Kojin, ADC Raga delivered in his lecture about the contribution of VKVs in Arunachal Pradesh. He appreciated VKVs effort for imparting value based education in the remote part of the state. Even he advised all the students to be well-disciplined and obedient towards their teachers. Various cultural programmes were performed by the students of the school. Shri Rajiv Muang one of the teachers of the school proposed the vote of thanks. Two hundred seventeen parents were present in the programme.

International Day of Yoga was celebrated in a befitting way in Raga block head quarter on 21st June. The students and teachers of VKV Raga, Govt. higher secondary school, Govt Middle School and Hutho Middle school- Raga participated in this programme.
Programme was started at 7.00 am with a procession by the students, teachers and local populace. It was really an awareness campaign where band, shouting of slogans and placards were used. The total student participation for this programme was 450. After covering about 2.5 km the procession reached at Raga IB ground. VKV Raga students and Hutho Middle school children demonstrated 12 different yogasanas separately and did sooryanamaskar simultaneously. In the IB ground about 50 people were also witnessing the programme. This mass event was inaugurated by Sri.P Pertin, principal, Govt. Higher school Raga and K.Tripadi, Head Master Hutho Middle school. Welcome speech was delivered by the principal, VKV Raga. Sri. Golom Boggy delivered a speech on the importance of Yoga in our daily life. Sri. Lomdik Lipin,Joint BDO extended Vote of thanks to all the gathered populace.
The programme was very much successful due to the complete involvement of a group of youths who selflessly dedicated their time and energy for various arrangements. It gives immense pleasure to us by seeing the interest of a new generation who work for the upliftment of our motherland. It also motivates all the staff members of our school by seeing this new group who are ready to work with Vivekananda Kendra.
Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya-Raga celebrates Swamiji Jayanti with colourful events .The programme really made great impression on the vkv system as well as we put all effords to focus on delivering the life and message of swami Vivekananda in all steps.

The programme started at 10.30 am with the arrival of our Chief GuestSri.YukarTopu a renowned social worker of this area and Guest of honour sri. MagaDinesh ExZpm respectively.There were patriotic dances,a talk show on swamiji and sishyas,monoact drama-mime etc. In mono act and Mime the need of social reformation was the theme. The gathered populace whole heartedly accepted our programmes and went out with full of joy and spirit of swamiji`s ideology. The total number of attended public was 214 and 210 of our students also attended in the programme.
The festive atmosphere and the positive response of parents really made us proud to work in such a great organization that carries the message of swamiji.
