
National Youth Day was celebrated on 12th January 2026, commemorating the 163rd birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The school organised outreach programmes in four different locations. Celebrating National Mathematics Day on 22nd December 2025 at VKV NEEPCO, Yazali, in honour of Srinivasa Ramanujan—India’s legendary mathematician and an inspiration beyond numbers
Objectives of the Programme:
To honour the contribution of Srinivasa Ramanujan to Mathematics.
To remove the fear of Mathematics and promote joyful learning.
To encourage logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and innovation.
To involve students actively through creative and hands-on activities.
Events and Activities Conducted on National Mathematics Day:
Speech was given by Sri Mrinmoy Mallick, Mathematics teacher of VKV, NEEPCO, Yazali, followed by Kr. Likha Ruhi, student of class XII, and Km. Nabam Meth, student of class XI on the topics Nabam Meth, student of class XI on the topics bibliography of Ramanujan and applications of Mathematics in different fields.
1. Table Recitation Competition
There were three groups. Primary group (III-V): In this group, 26 students participated. Junior group (VI-VIII): In this group, 25 students participated. Senior group (IX-X): In this group, 15 students participated. Students of each group participated actively in this competition.
2. Bingo Game
This game was for the primary classes. Our primary teachers, Sri Asim Chanda & Sri Koustav Banerjee, have conducted this game. Primary children enjoyed this very much.
3. Chart/Poster Making Competition
Preparation of innovative charts on different topics of Mathematics by the students of classes VI, VII, VIII, IX, and X. Students showed their creative ideas in this competition through IKS.
4. Math Relay Race
Six groups are participating in this competition. Students from Classes VII to X participated actively. Students showed excellent coordination, quick thinking, and accuracy. Even slow learners participated confidently with peer support. A total of 24 students participated in this race.
5. Math Quiz
A quiz competition for classes VII to XII, testing knowledge of Indian Mathematicians, algebra, geometry, number system, and basic calculations. A total of 36 students participated in the Math quiz. Students showed keen interest and competitive spirit. Teamwork and leadership qualities were enhanced. Every participant of each group gave their answer and showed their logical thinking ability.

GITA JAYANTI was celebrated with great devotion and spiritual fervour on 1st December, 2025, at VKV NEEPCO YAZALI. The auspicious celebration started at 4:50 p.m. The spiritual grandeur and significance of the celebration were enhanced by the presence of Sri Taba Tagap, Chief Puzari of the nearby Namlo, Pitapool. The magnitude of the GITA JAYANTI celebration was further augmented by the inclusion of around 100 members of 10 SANKULS of Vidyalaya Amrit Pariwar. Besides, a few parents and devotees also attended the celebration. Sri Prasanta Puzari, Principal, in his welcome speech, highlighted the greatness of the Gita and the role of its teachings in our lives. He also explained how our children can be enlightened with our traditional practices to retain our identity. A Krishna Bhajan was sung by a group of students of the school. Speaking on the significance of GITA Jayanti celebration, Sri Kalyanam Bharadwaj, Sanskrit teacher, highlighted that the Bhagwad Gita teaches the management of life and the art of living. He also explained that the Gita directs the way of life, strengthens the family culture, reforms the society, and inspires an individual to see God in everything. A BORGEET of Srimanta Sankardeva was performed by Smt. Rimpi Hazarika, a parent of the school. Sri Taba Tagap, the chief guest, in his speech, shared his long association with various organisations that worked for social and cultural development, which encourage, promote and preserve the indigenous cultures. He also highlighted that the coincidence of Indigenous Faith Day and GITA Jayanti celebration would help to unite people not only for individual development but also for social harmony and to save our identity. He also suggested working more in this field with more focus and pre-planning to teach our younger generation in association with the indigenous faith society. A Krishna Bhajan was performed by Sri Chayan Sarkar, music teacher of the school. A group of students chanted 20 slokas from the fourth chapter of the Gita. A game was also conducted among the sankul members with an aim to know each other better and strengthen the societal bond.
INDIGENOUS FAITH DAY was celebrated at VKV NEEPCO YAZALI on 1st December, 2025. Students of class II to class XII enthusiastically participated in a cultural programme in which students in eight groups presented traditional group dance assimilating the cultures of various communities and tribes, weaving different cultures in a tapestry, which included Nepali, Assamese, Nyishi, Adi, Galo, Apatani, Bhuiyan and Bengali dances. Sri Kaushtabh Banerjee, teacher and Km Rashmi Das student, speaking on the significance of Indigenous Faith Day urged the students to know their culture, practice and preserve it to retain their self-identity.

VKV NEEPCO YAZALI solemnly observed SADHANA DIWAS on 19th November, 2025, commemorating the birth anniversary of the founder of Vivekananda Kendra and Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Ma. Eknathji Ranade. Addressing the morning assembly, Sri Prasanta Puzari, Principal, illustrated the life and mission of Eknathji. Inspired by the dedicated life of Eknathji, he exhorted everyone to prepare ourselves to develop the sense of Seva with commitment, giving priority to our studies and make ourselves responsible citizens of the country.
Speaking on the significance of the day, Sri Amit Kumar, Hindi teacher, highlighted the SADHANA and dedicated works of Eknathji in the service of the nation. He urged the students to undertake any activity and perform with sincerity to achieve perfection for the welfare of all. He mentioned that we should be more compassionate to others while undertaking any work of service.
Sri Kalyanam Bharadwaj, Sanskrit teacher, while addressing the students of the primary classes, apprised the students of the contributions of Ma. Eknathji Ranade is behind the establishment of Vivekananda Kendra and Vivekananda Rock Memorial, and his service for man-making and nation-building.
All the speakers, in their speeches, emphasised the content of Ma. Nivedita Didi's letter was sent on the occasion of SADHANA DIWAS.
At the end, homage was paid to the portrait of Eknathji.

The Eknathji Memorial Football Tournament 2025 of the Subansiri cluster was held at VKV NEEPCO Yazali from October 25, 2025, to October 26, 2025. Six schools participated in the tournament.VKVs Koloriang, Raga, Ziro, and Kuporijo reported on 24-10-2025, while VKV Joram reported on the morning of 25-10-2025. The matches of the tournament started from the morning of 25-10-2025. The inauguration of the event was graced by Sri Dheeraj Das, Manager Civil, NEEPCO, Yazali.On 25-10-2025, after the evening prayer, there was an experience-sharing session by the participants of each school. The last match of the tournament was held at 12:00 p.m. on October 26, 2025. The concluding session was graced by Sri Munin Choudhary, CGM, NEEPCO, Yazali. In his informative and encouraging speech, he urged the students to focus on the skills of the game. VKV Kuporijo was adjudged as the 1st best team and VKV Ziro as the second-best team. All the players were awarded with participation certificates and medals. A team from NEEPCO Health Centre was supported with first aid during the event. Besides, a few ex-VKVians as well as footballers from the locality supported as referees in the tournament.

Yazali,11 September: VKV NEEPCO Yazali celebrated the Universal Brotherhood Day here on Thursday in a grand manner. To make the day memorable, there were various activities in the school premises throughout the day. The Panyor Lower Hydro Power Station HOP, Sri D.T. Swami, inaugurated the programme as the chief guest. The AE, PHED Sri Nabam Chada, was the guest of honor. The Students welcomed all along with a band display & a melodious welcome song. The School Principal, Prasanta Puzari, honored and welcomed the guests according to our tradition and custom.
Activities at a glance :
Chicago Address: Thokchom Arnav Singha, a student of class VIII, beautifully presented Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago address as a form of recitation. His presentation made the audience aware of Swamiji’s thought & personality.
Exhibition: One of the attractive phases of the program was an exhibition by the students and teaching staff. The Chief Guest inaugurated the exhibition. In the exhibition, there was a colorful display of paintings, sculptures, handicrafts, clothing, food habits, and lifestyles of different janajatis of Arunachal Pradesh.
Wall Magazines: To introduce children’s world of creativity and thoughts, the event of the day included a wall magazine display. The four houses, Lohit, Kameng, Subansiri & Siang, presented their wall magazines. English, Social Science, and Science departments presented their innovative wall magazines, too. Different topics were chosen, like Indian culture, India in world science, our environment, etc. The Guest of Honor happily cut the ribbons of each wall magazine and encouraged the children with his feedback.
Prize Distribution Ceremony of Outreach Programmes: On the occasion of Universal Brotherhood Day, VKV NEEPCO Yazali conducted VIVEK VANI (Swami Vivekananda’s thought interpretation) competitions in different neighbouring schools. During the Universal Brotherhood Day’s central programme, the winners were awarded by the Chief Guest & Guest of Honor. A marathon Race was also organized by the school on National Sports Day 2025. The winners were also awarded.
Cultural Show on Stage: The school students presented a heart-warming cultural programme. A huge number of students from the Balvatika to the Secondary section participated in various cultural events. They enthusiastically presented action songs, traditional songs, poem recitation, folk dance, patriotic dance, yoga display, Drama on Swamiji, etc. In addition, students from the neighboring Abotani Academy, Pitapool Government Secondary School, and Yazali Government Higher Secondary School also presented their dance and song performances on the day. The teachers of the organizing school presented a chorus to make the day memorable.
Participation: Active participation of the students, parents, NEEPCO officials, well-wishers, and Sankul members made the arrangement a grand success. All the staff members and students participated in the programme in different way. A total of 617 invited people witnessed the whole activity.
The Words of the day: In his speech, Prasanta Puzari, the Principal of the school,l mentioned the importance of the celebration. He described the incident that occurred in Chicago in 1893. He also mentioned the activities of Vivekananda Kendra. The Guest of Honor added, “Swamiji is universal. We all have to wake up first to realize his dream of a new India.” The Chief Guest said, “The whole world accepted the young monk Swami Vivekananda as a great thinker, philosopher, and epoch hero. Every Indian should be proud of Swamiji. We should follow Swamiji's ideology of universal peace & brotherhood.”
Conclusion: The Audience appreciated the programme wholeheartedly. While going back, people said, “The pulse of the event will be felt in their hearts for a long time.’’ Sri Kalyanam Bharadwaj, Teacher of the school, extended thanks & gratitude to the gathering. The programme was concluded with the Shanti Mantra.
