Gita Jayanti And Indigenous Faith Day Celebration

GITA JAYANTI was celebrated with great devotion and spiritual fervour on 1st December, 2025, at VKV NEEPCO YAZALI. The auspicious celebration started at 4:50 p.m. The spiritual grandeur and significance of the celebration were enhanced by the presence of Sri Taba Tagap, Chief Puzari of the nearby Namlo, Pitapool. The magnitude of the GITA JAYANTI celebration was further augmented by the inclusion of around 100 members of 10 SANKULS of Vidyalaya Amrit Pariwar. Besides, a few parents and devotees also attended the celebration. Sri Prasanta Puzari, Principal, in his welcome speech, highlighted the greatness of the Gita and the role of its teachings in our lives. He also explained how our children can be enlightened with our traditional practices to retain our identity. A Krishna Bhajan was sung by a group of students of the school. Speaking on the significance of GITA Jayanti celebration, Sri Kalyanam Bharadwaj, Sanskrit teacher, highlighted that the Bhagwad Gita teaches the management of life and the art of living. He also explained that the Gita directs the way of life, strengthens the family culture, reforms the society, and inspires an individual to see God in everything. A BORGEET of Srimanta Sankardeva was performed by Smt. Rimpi Hazarika, a parent of the school. Sri Taba Tagap, the chief guest, in his speech, shared his long association with various organisations that worked for social and cultural development, which encourage, promote and preserve the indigenous cultures. He also highlighted that the coincidence of Indigenous Faith Day and GITA Jayanti celebration would help to unite people not only for individual development but also for social harmony and to save our identity. He also suggested working more in this field with more focus and pre-planning to teach our younger generation in association with the indigenous faith society. A Krishna Bhajan was performed by Sri Chayan Sarkar, music teacher of the school. A group of students chanted 20 slokas from the fourth chapter of the Gita. A game was also conducted among the sankul members with an aim to know each other better and strengthen the societal bond.
INDIGENOUS FAITH DAY was celebrated at VKV NEEPCO YAZALI on 1st December, 2025. Students of class II to class XII enthusiastically participated in a cultural programme in which students in eight groups presented traditional group dance assimilating the cultures of various communities and tribes, weaving different cultures in a tapestry, which included Nepali, Assamese, Nyishi, Adi, Galo, Apatani, Bhuiyan and Bengali dances. Sri Kaushtabh Banerjee, teacher and Km Rashmi Das student, speaking on the significance of Indigenous Faith Day urged the students to know their culture, practice and preserve it to retain their self-identity.
