
VKV NEEPCO Yazali conducted Eknath Memorial School Level Football Tournament for students of Classes 6 to 9, concluded with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship on the school grounds.
The tournament was held on July 12, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM. Two teams, each comprising 11 players from Classes 6 to 9, participated in this spirited competition. The players displayed commendable energy, coordination, and determination throughout the match.
The initiative was warmly received by students and staff alike. Encouraged by enthusiastic spectators, the young players gave their best performance on the field. Such events serve as a platform for nurturing sporting talent and building strong character traits in students.
The school plans to continue hosting similar activities in the future, ensuring that students remain actively engaged and inspired by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and Mananeeya Eknathji.

Guru Purnima was celebrated at VKV. NEEPCO, Yazali on 10th July’2025. The programme started at 5 p.m. with 11 times chanting of ‘OM’ followed by prayer.
The celebration was graced by the presence of more than 250 well-wishers which included Smt. Nabam Piju, ZPM, Pitapool, as the chief guest, a few members of Namlo ,Pitapool, the family members of 9 sankuls of school Amrit Pariwar, a few officials of NEEPCO, members of SSG, Sri Chukhu Kochi, Headmaster, Govt, Secondary School, Yazali, female members of Namghar of NEEPCO Colony, and many well- wishers, teachers and a few students of our vidyalaya.
Sri Prasant Puzari, Principal, highlighted the manifold aspects of Guru Purnima as one of the very important festivals celebrated by Vivekananda Kendra and Vivekananda Kendra vidyalayas in his welcome speech citing various analogies. Sri Chayan Sarkar, the music teacher of the school presented a Guru bhajan as a gesture of respect to the gurus. The Diha Naam presented by the female members of NEEPCO Colony Namghar created a divine ambience in the spiritually enriching evening. Speaking on the significance of Guru Purnima, Sri Amit Kumar, Hindi teacher of the vidyalaya highlighted the significance of Guru Purnima celebration.He also cited the content of the letter sent by Mananeeya Nivedita Didi on the occasion of Guru Purnima in which Didi mentioned about the Guru-Shishya parampara established by Veda Vyasa which protected the vedic knowledge and Sanatana Dharma which is the life centre of our nation. Smt. Nabam Piju, the chief guest of the program expressed her happiness for conducting such a programme which help students to realize the importance of a guru in everybody's life. She assured her cooperation in any programme conducted by the school. She also mentioned her association in the outreach programmes conducted by the school in the last two years. Sri Chukhu Kochi, Headmaster,Govt. Secondary School,Yazali ,who attended the programme as an invited guest appreciated the culture practiced by VKVs to enhance the cultural and moral ethos and social responsibility of the students.He also mentioned the vision of Mananeeya Eknathji Ranade and his sacrifice to establish Vivekananda Kendra and Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas. Sri Taba Tadap,member of the Namlo,Pitapool and Co-Convenor ,SSG,in his speech expressed his willingness to support the school to conduct all kinds of programmes in a grand manner in future with the involvement of a larger section of people. The vote of thanks was extended by Sri Devajit Dutta, teacher of the vidyalaya.
Prior to this, Guru Purnima was also celebrated during the school hours in which the students of class II to XII and the teachers attended the programme. The programme started with prayer followed by a guru bhajan presented by the students of class V. The teachers of the school also presented a Guru bhajan led by Sri Chayan Sarkar, music teacher of the school. Sri Amit Kumar, a Hindi teacher of the school spoke on the significance of Guru Purnima Celebration. The programme was concluded with offering flowers to the OM panel.

VKV NEEPCO Yazali celebrated International Yoga Day on 21 January 2025 in collaboration with Panyor Lower Hydroelectric Power Station, NEEPCO YAZALI. The staff of VKV NEEPCO Yazali and the employees of NEEPCO, Yazali, participated in the celebration in the morning session. The celebration was inaugurated by Smt. Elakhee Changmai, Manager(HR), PLHPS, NEEPCO, Yazali, highlighting the theme YOGA FOR ONE EARTH ONE HEALTH. The second session was conducted during school hours for students of all classes. The school also celebrated International Yoga Day in two nearby schools, Abotani Academy and Govt. Higher Secondary School, Yazali, CHC Yazali, and a nearby location, Pitapool, as an outreach program . The students of the Vidyalaya, under the guidance of the in-charge teachers, delivered speeches and demonstrated yoga asanas in all five places, disseminating and highlighting the importance of yoga in daily life as a holistic pathway of health and wellbeing of an individual as well as of the planet.

An Orientation Programme for the parents of the students of Class XI(sc)was conducted on 7-6-2025 from 11 a.m. onwards. 11 parents out of 12 and the students of that class attended the programme. The programme was started with Oikyamantra. A patriotic song was also presented by the students to welcome the parents. The subject teachers guided the students on how to study various subjects, adopting different methodologies. Sri Kalyanam Bharadwaj, teacher, while speaking on the Kendra Parichay, highlighted the incessant efforts and sacrifices made by the founder and numerous other karyakartas behind the establishment of Vivekananda Kendra, Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas in Arunachal Pradesh. He also mentioned various service activities rendered by Vivekananda Kendra under different wings. Sri Prasanta Puzari, the Principal, while orienting the parents, urged the parents and students to concentrate on the following areas:
1. Develop curiosity to know the subjects better.
2. Developing questioning skills for the students of the science stream.
3. Discover and not invent what they possess.
4. Stop the excess use of mobiles.
5. Check distractions from other detrimental factors.
6. Fix your goal and work accordingly.
7. Follow discipline, punctuality and sincerity strictly.

Matri Pooja was solemnized with utmost sanctity at VKV NEEPCO Yazali on 1st February 2025. A total number of 36 out of 39 students and their mothers of classes X and XII attended the pooja. It was organized for the students to perceive the importance of the mother and her blessings in succeeding in life on the eve of appearing in the CBSE Final examinations 2025 in a formal ambiance. The pooja was performed by Sri Kalyanam Bharadwaj, a Sanskrit teacher, and it was a complete Vedic process while chanting Vedic mantras. The students realized the divine experience of worshipping their mothers and became cognizant of the sacrifices of mothers for the well-being of their children. The principal, speaking on the importance of the pooja highlighted the need to remind the students about their respect and responsibility towards their mothers. He also cited several analogies from the Ramayana and the Mahabharata and other mythologies in which there is numerous evidence of the wonders of Mother's blessings,
