• National Youth Day celebrated to commemorate the Birth Day of Swami Vivekananda, the spiritual icon of modern India
• Swamiji was an ardent philosopher and great social reformer
• A pioneer of Vedanta & yoga that he gave to the western world
• Swamiji was instrumental in raising interfaith awareness, bringing Hinduism to the status of a major world religion
• He was considered as the major force in the revival of Hinduism
• He contributed to the concept of nationalism in colonial India Protecting and continuing the spiritual tradition is undertaken by Vivekananda Kendra
• This is a day to take a pledge to help protect our culture in changed times.
• Swami Vivekananda is a source of inspiration to the youths of modern India

• Giving importance to social and moral values is a demand of time
• Youths are the architects of our nation who would play  crucial roles to build our nation
• Swami Vivekananda is an icon of youths
• Since 1985, India annually celebrates National Youth Day
• In 1984, GoI, declared the Birth Day of Swamiji as National Youth Day
• To imbibe the Vivekanandian philosophies in students and youth
• Take pledge to protect and respect our nation from cultural vandalization
• Normally 16-35 is called as the youth stage of life. It is the productive stage of life. Indian youth has a special quality to popularise our culture and traditional hegemony not only in India but also throughout the world. With popular culture becoming more youthful and more accessible through TV, technology and global consumer brands, today’s youth think that the traditional demographic terms are not able to spread longer benefit to them. So to teach and aware them about the essentialities of moral and spiritual values in human life, national youth day is celebrated every year on the eve of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti on 12th January every year throughout India.

• VKVs are synonyms to quality education
• Swamiji was an ideal figure for the entire nation
• He has lot of expectation from the youth of India to make her a developed nation
• It is a very high time to all the youth of India under one banner to think collectively for the prosperity and materialistic growth of the nation
• There has to be communal and cultural harmony amongst us
• People are to be more realistic to tackle and handle various types of developmental activities
• The youths of our nation are to be more focussed and result oriented
• I am happy that VKVs are playing a great role in uniting the people of Arunachal Pradesh together
• It is quite important to become more strong and stable to build a prosperous and peaceful nation
• Be positive to the goal of life: Arise! Awake & Stop not till the goal is reached
• People of our nation should be capable enough to act according to the situation and should be multi tasks oriented
• Promised to construct the internal road and auditorium by next financial year.
