Matri Puja at VKV Seijosa
Matri Pooja, a unique annual event for the outgoing students of class X was conducted in the Vidyalaya, which engrossed the students of class X of the current school session along with their parents.
The gathering of parents and students was formally welcomed by Sri. R. Murugan, the Principal of the Vidyalaya briefed the worth of the day and shared an actual anecdote which was a learning outcome for an individual regarding the role of mother. The pooja was conducted by Sri. Kajal Barman, teacher of the Vidyalaya in flow with the centralized style of the same. Smt. Olak Borang, a teacher at Government Higher Secondary School Seijosa graced the occasion as a Guest Speaker. She recalled her past days of oneness with the Vidyalayas in the state being a student of class XI in VKV Jairampur in 1998. In addition to this, she expressed her emotions in terms of love for the parents as a whole and the mother in particular and wanted the students to give the fullest respect to the parents and uphold their names in all spheres.
Glimpses of the impression shared by the students and parents are as follows:
*** Km. Yarang Hissang stated that she had experienced a better ambiance on this occasion and realized the value of the mother’s love, care, kindness, and concern.
*** Km. Shivani Hazarika recalled the inputs given to the teachers during the teaching periods in terms of the role of an individual to respect the parents specifically the mother.
*** Kr. Lemkho Wangpan acknowledged the contribution of the teachers – both intellectual familiarity and motherly care during abnormal situations on health issues. He highlighted the contribution of the school authority and teachers when he experienced a major fracture in his leg in the month of June 2024.
*** Kr. Tana Nirba Tara admitted the transformation in him in all the spheres with a special stress to his style of conducting with others in any platform as he had gained the same only due to the schooling in VKVs. Also, he expressed that he could comprehend the difficulties of his mother who had brought up him being a single parent.
*** Kr. Soma Bagang conceded that the teachers are mothers too and felt that he could not have his mother in this platform as she’s seriously sick.
*** Kr. Bujum Rago recalled his initial days of schooling in the Vidyalaya being a laterally admitted hosteller in class VII on transition from a day scholar student of VKV Kuporijo. He accepted the positive changes in him being a hosteller.
*** Sri. Tabu Rago the father of Kr. Bujum Rago evoked the schooling days of his brother Sri. Sadung Gyadu in VKV Kuporijo and his current responsibility as a Circle Officer under the GoAP. Also, he expressed his happiness to see the confidence of his ward to speak on a larger platform for which he thanked the Vidyalaya team.
*** Smt. Teli Jamoni, the mother of Kr. Tana Nirba Tara voiced her support rendered to the school when certain observations of her ward were brought to her knowledge as it had resulted positively to a vast extent in shaping the character of her ward.
*** Sri. Mangow Gowam, the father of Kr. Jagow Gowam compared his personal schooling life with the ones of his ward and self-confessed that he could not score even the minimum pass marks in the subject Mathematics in class X in his two attempts and finally could pass out with marginal marks in the third attempt. But the present style of learning and excellence of his ward in the specific subject had made him happy. In addition to this, he expressed his guilt that he could not bring his spouse for the pooja and the other two parents of Niausa too could not attend the same. Hence, he assured that this message would be passed on to the other parents in his locality.
