VKV Seijosa could celebrate the  International Day for Yoga in a fervent way with the target group of students, officers of high profile of Seijosa Sub – Division and Pakke Tiger Reserve and staff of Third Indian Reserve Battalion, Monoi at two venues.

The maiden programme for the students of the Vidyalaya and the Government Middle School, Darlong was held in the Vidyalaya premises. Sri. Arjun Kurre delivered the significance of the day speech and the rest of the same, comprising of loosening exercises, Asanas, Suryanamaskar and Pranayama was instructed and demonstrated by Sri. Vikas Balasaheb Desai. The response and participation of the students was a mind glowing one. A total strength of 86 students could be a part of the programme.

On the request of the head of the administration of Seijosa locality, the Vidyalaya hosted the officers of high profile of Seijosa Sub – Division along with the staff of Third India Reserve Battalion, Monoi, to experience the practice of Yoga encompassing of loosening exercises, Asanas, Suryanamaskar and Pranayama as a part of the global celebration at the school level. The dignitaries namely Sri. Taku Raju Tapu, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Pakke Kessang District, Sri. Bongam Padu, the Circle Officer, Seijosa, Sri. Padi Payang, Officer Commanding, Arunachal Pradesh Police Station Seijosa, Dr.  Bishnu Rebi, and Dr. Topu, Medical Officers, Community Health Centre, Seijosa had an active participation in the proceeding. Sri. Taku Raju Tapu, the Additional Deputy Commissioner, shared his impression that it’s must for an individual to have the regular practice of Yoga for a fittest life. It was fortunate to have the presence of Su. Mejir Nabam and Dr. Abha Tachang, the Yoga instructor and Ayurveda Doctor respectively who were the alumni of our Vidyalaya. The attendance was 47.

Sri. Dipankar Kakoti was deputed to organise a programme at Pakke Tiger Reserve, West Bank, Seijosa. Sri. Suraj Sigh and Sri. Rubu Tado the Divisional Forest Officer and Forest Ranger officer correspondingly and other staff were a part of the celebration along with a few students of our Vidyalaya. Altogether there were 30 participants
