Inauguration of New Classrooms and Hostel Block at VKV Kharsang

On 4th January 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV), Kharsang witnessed the inauguration of newly constructed classrooms and the hostel block. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Shri Kamlung Mossang, Local MLA (50th Miao Constituency) cum Advisor to the Chief Minister, in the esteemed presence of Su. Sujatha Nayak, Secretary of VKV Arunachal Pradesh Trust (VKVAPT).
The ceremony commenced with the indigenous Rangfrah Puja rituals performed by the local temple priest in the newly constructed Classrooms and the Hostel Block.
Thereafter the formal programme took place with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the arrival of enlightenment. This was followed by an Invocation prayer, setting a serene and spiritual tone for the occasion.
Shri M.V. Ravindran, the Principal of VKV Kharsang, welcomed the gathering with a heartfelt speech, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries and attendees.
Shri P.Ajay Kumar Sir(Education officer)felicitated the Chief Guest with a memento and a traditional shawl, a gesture reflecting the rich cultural ethos of the region. Shri Sanjay Kimsing Ji (Alumni of VKV Kharsang & SSG Member), honoured Su. Sujatha Nayak Didi with a local shawl, showcasing the hospitality of the VKV fraternity.
To add a cultural touch, the students of Class 8 presented a melodious group song, filling the air with enthusiasm and joy.
In his address, Shri Kamlung Mossang acknowledged the commendable role of VKV Kharsang in fostering education and nurturing responsible citizens. As a token of his support for the school's welfare, he generously donated ₹1, 00,000, earning the applause of all present.
Su. Sujatha Nayak, in her interactive session with the students, inspired them with her encouraging words and blessed the audience with her gracious presence.
To honor the local traditions, the girls of Class 9 performed a captivating traditional group dance, reflecting the vibrant culture of Arunachal Pradesh.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Kalyan Kumar Dutta, a teacher at VKV Kharsang, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, staff, and students for their active participation. The event ended on an auspicious note with the chanting of the Shanti Mantra, invoking peace and harmony.
This memorable occasion marked yet another milestone in VKV Kharsang's journey of holistic education and community service.
