
The Prerana Shibir at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Nirjuli, was conducted for two days as per our academic calendar, from June 28th to 29th, 2025, to inspire and nurture the overall development of students in Class VII.
The Inauguration Ceremony
Dr. Arnab Ghosh, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Zoology, RGU, presided over the ceremony as the chief guest. He was warmly felicitated by the respected Principal of VKV Nirjuli, Sri K. Jaisankar as a token of appreciation for his presence and support. Principal Sir, in his welcome address, focused on the reason for organising the shibir for class VII. The Shibir served as a platform to guide them through these formative years. The shibir also aimed to offer the day scholars a glimpse into the lifestyle of hostellers. Sir concluded by urging the students to "light the lamp of your life," symbolizing the ignition of inner awareness and responsibility.

In the final session, several students shared their personal experiences and reflections on the two-day Shibir. They spoke about the values they imbibed, the skills they developed, and the inspiration they received. Following this, the Shibir Report was presented by Sakshi Vinayak, Sri Rajesh Hazraa. Sri. S.C. Dixit Ji appreciated the active participation of the students and encouraged them to apply the learnings in their daily lives. Smt. K.K. Reena Didi also motivated the students by reminding them of the timeless values of life and wished them success in their future endeavors. The Chief Guest, Dr. Nyelam Nega, SP, ICR, Naharlagun, inspired the students with his address. He emphasized the importance of acquiring essential life skills to lead a successful and meaningful life. Through various anecdotes, he imparted valuable life lessons and reminded the students that children are the true assets of a nation, not material possessions like houses, land, or cars.
