International Yoga Day has been observed in the school on 21 June 2016 in a befitting manner. A total of 500 students from class VI to X and teachers participated in the programe.

Sri SC Dixit addressed the Students and told about the importance of Yoga and its effect in ones’ day to life. He has urged the students as well as the teachers to regularly practice Yoga. He has also highlighted the benefits of it on the mind, body and intellect.

The Yoga session started with beautiful video clips of 20 minutes, wherein the importance, meaning and its concept is highlighted.  The history of Yoga, its existence and popularity were the other aspects of the videos.

After the video show Sri.  Alokesh Boro, PT teacher has conducted the session on different Yogasanas and Pranayamas. The Asanas like, Ardhakati- Chakrasasa, Vrikshasanas, Ardhchakrasana, vajrajasana, and different Pranayamas were practiced in the session. Students were told the benefits and importance of  the Asanas.They were happy to be the part of this great Day. .

All the Students and Staff has participated in the session except the primary students due to insufficient space.
