Considering the growing importance of health consciousness and to thwart any health hazards, VKV Nirjuli observed National De-worming Day on 10th Feb., 2016.

The programme was inaugurated by Sri Panchanan Tripathy, Principal, VKV Nirjuli by giving a dose of Albendazole-deworming tablets to few students. In his speech, Sri Tripathy spoke on the importance to stay physically and mentally healthy by preventing and getting rid of all kinds of ailments for which awareness about prevention, care and cure is need.

Speaking on the significance of this observation, Sri Sanjay Kr Yadav, Programme Officer, VKV Nirjuli NSS Unit highlighted the diverse benefits of deworming children through the intake of the albendazole tablets and various practices to control transmission of worm infections in addition to deworming. A total of 1100 students of class I to XI of the school were given deworming tablets.
