On 29th January 2025, VKV Tezu felt blessed to have been a part of Vivekananda Yatra. Our school, VKV Tafrogam, Nimkay Vidya Niketan, Vivekananda Kendra Arunjyoti workers, VKV Alumni, well-wishers, and other Government officials received the statue of Swami Vivekananda at the point of the road in front of the DMO Office with the band troop of VKV Tafrogam. Then the statue was brought to VKV Tezu in a grand procession of more than 500 people. A cultural programme was then conducted in which our school students, students from VKV Tafrogam, and students from Nimkay Vidya Niketan performed dance and song. The importance of Vivekananda Yatra was told by Sri Batimso Mam, who came along with the statue-carrying vehicle. The Principal of the school, in his speech, expressed his feeling of holy gratification to have received Swamiji’s statue in our school. He said that Swamiji’s statue standing at the first village of our nation-Kaho will be inspiring and motivate us to “Arise awake and stop not till our goal is reached”. On this occasion, Sri Kruleso Ngadong, Vibhag Pramukh, Lohit Vibhag, and Sri N. Songthing, Vivhag Pramukh were present among other parents, well-wishers, VKV Alumni, Sankul members and some Government officials.
