Swami Vivekananda Jayanti Celebration at VKV Tezu
On 21st January 2025, VKV Tezu celebrated Swami Vivekananda Janma Tithi with great fervor and enthusiasm. This celebration marks the birth anniversary of the great Indian philosopher and spiritual leader, Swami Vivekananda, who devoted his life to the service of our motherland. The event was graced by the presence of Sri Ashok Singh Bisht, Commandant of 9th Battalion ITBP, Lohitpur, Tezu, and Sri A.L. Sonawane, Airport Director of Tezu Airport, as the chief guest and the guest of honor respectively. The program was attended by more than 200 parents and well-wishers who were treated to various cultural performances by the students and wise speeches from the guests. The principal of VKV Tezu highlighted the connection between VKVs and Swami Vivekananda and gave a brief history of Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra. The event lasted for two and a half hours, in which the chief guest encouraged outgoing Class-X students to carry on the values instilled by their school and contribute to our nation's betterment. The guest of honor also praised the school for its adherence to customs such as lighting the lamp and mangalacharan in Sanskrit language, and was impressed by the exceptional performances of the students. Overall, it was a memorable celebration that honored the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. The program ended with Shanti Mantra.
