On 21/06/2022 8th International Day of Yoga was celebrated in our school. Central Bureau of Communication, Tezu Arunachal Pradesh joined us in this celebration.
In the morning, as instructed by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Tezu, Lohit District, our students from classes VII to X and the teaching staff attended a programme of Yoga session from 7.00am to 8.00am at Amik Ringia Hall, Tezu.
At our school, the programme of 8th International Day of Yoga celebration started at 9.30AM. We welcomed Sri P Sonowal, Head of Office, Central Bureau of Communication and his office team to our school. They distributed white T-Shirt among 45 students and staff and provided refreshment for all of us.
Govt. Upper Primary School – III, class VIII students were also invited to join in this celebration. 35 students from that school reported on this occasion along with 2 escort teachers. The Yoga sessions were taken by Sri Uttam Kr Patel & Sri Ashim Saikia.
On account of inclement weather we had to hold the programme in our activity hall. Students were called batch wise for the yoga sessions.
VKV TEZU observes the World environment day like every year on 5th June and 6th June to raise global awareness to take positive environmental action so as to protect the nature and the planet earth. Students of all classes participated and observed world environment day enthusiastically. Students cleaned the school campus and planted saplings around the campus. A lot of enthusiasm was seen in the students. The event was conducted successfully with whole hearted participation and awareness about the importance of the day in the School Assembly by the Principal. Students along with their family members shared their pictures with saplings with the class groups. A competition was conducted for all the classes on the following themes. Class I-III: Draw one or more trees and colour it, Class IV-V: Making a drawing on the theme-“Where there are trees, there are lives”, Class VI-VIII: To make a drawing on the theme: “Cleanliness bring happiness’’, Class IX-X: To make a drawing on the theme: “Living in harmony with nature’’. Students participated in all the activities and the best among them were rewarded.
On 19.03.2022, Matri Puja has been conducted in our school. The programme started at 10.20 A.M. A total 21 number of parents out of 36 were present on the occasion. Four students attended the Puja with both father and mother.
Smt. Reena Singh, Associate NCC. Officer of Govt. H.S. School Tezu was invited as the Guest speaker. She is also an ArunJyoti worker at Tezu. Sri PK Pandey, Cluster In-charge, Lohit Cluster conducted the Puja.
After the welcome address by the Principal the guest speaker shared some valuable words with the parents stressing on the importance of acknowledging the mother’s service in a family and suggested students to study well for their Term-II Board exam.
Sri PK Pandey sir also dwelt on the significance of Matri Puja conducted in VKVs.
Some parents and students in their sharing of experiences expressed gratefulness and praise to the school for conducting such a beautiful programme and making them a part of it.
Amrit Parivar Milan was organised at our school on 24/12/2021. Sri Balung Tindya, ZPM, Tezu was invited as the Chief Guest. Sri P.K. Pandey, CIC, was also present on the occasion. A total number of 27 families including our staff members’ were present in the programme.
The significance of Amrit Parivar Milan was told by Sri P.K. Pandey, CIC, incorporating the ideals of Vivekananda Kendra – Man Making and Nation Building. There was a group discussion among the invitees on some topics related to ideal family and the group leaders presented the upshots of their group discussion. There was a game session for the elders and the children present where all of them enjoyed a lot.
A video by Swami Govindadevji was also shown in the meeting through projector screen.
Sri Balung Tindya, ZPM, Tezu in his speech touched at some vital points on present social condition and appreciated the initiative of conducting such Amrit Parivar Milan programme for the benefit of the families in the society. Lunch was served for all the invitees.
VKV Tezu clinches the 1st Position in the District level Science Seminar which was held on 27th November 2021 in Govt. Higher Secondary School Tezu. The theme of the Science Seminar was “Boosting Immunity-the need of the hour, prospects and challenges’’. A total of 8 teams participated from various schools of Lohit District. Km Nikita Kutum of Class IX secured the 1st position in the District level Science Seminar for her presentation, thus bringing laurels to the school. She was highly appreciated by the Judges and the Principal GHSS Tezu for her wonderful presentation. She will be participating in the State level Science Seminar at Itanagar on 20th December 2021, representing Lohit District. She was guided by Sri Soumen Roy Chowdhury and Sri Uttam Kumar Patel.

It was a unique experience to conduct a programme with a local Gaonburah as the Chief Guest who could motivate our students with his strong words.
Sri Rajindra Shamrao Patil, PE teachrer at VKV Kharsang reported at our school to coach some selected students on pyramid formation and teaching yogasana. For pyramid formation he took 31 students: Class IV: 2 students, V: 3 students, VI: 7 students, VII: 5 students & VIII: 14 students.
Every day from 10.00 AM to 12.00 noon he carried on his coaching on pyramid formation upto his last day here on 20.11.2021. In total he taught 9 formations to the students’ group.
In the afternoon he taught yogasana to a group of 10 girl students from classes III, IV & V.
On the final day he arranged one pyramid formation demonstration to be shown in front of Sri P.M Unnikrishnan Sir, EO VKV APT, who visited our school on 20.11.2021.
Though Sri Rajindra Shamrao Patil, PE Teacher, spent a few days with our students he utilized his time well and enabled our students group to demonstrate all the 9 pyramid formation with perfection.
As part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, VKV Tezu, Lohit District, Arunachal Pradesh has organised a programme today 27/10/2021 on INA Raising Day commemorating the declaration of the Provisional Government of free India in 1943. A total of 71 students from class IX & X attended the programme. The significance of INA Raising Day was told by Sri Champak Kakati, Principal of the school. Smt. Rupali Bhattacharjee, a teacher of the school delivered an extensive speech on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose with reference to INA. Some original video clips were shown to the students on a projector screen. The programme ended with shanti mantra.
