VKV Tezu conducted Matri Puja for the outgoing students of class X on 11th Feb, 2019 in view of imbibing Indian tradition of “Matri Devo Bhava, Pitru Devo Bhava, Acharya Devo Bhava & Rasta Devo Bhava in the students. There were 23 students along with their mothers and fathers took part in this spiritual celebration. The occasion was commenced with the students washing their mothers’ feet at the entrance of the hall followed by a formal welcome given by Sri S K Behera, the Principal of the school. Sri P K Pandey, the CIC of Lohit & Tirap Vibhag enlightens the students and the parents with his motivational talk on the given topic ‘essence of love and respect for mother and father’.

Sri Krishna Kumar, the Officer VKVAPT, invoked and chanted hymns and students performed puja. On the very outset he spoke the students about the importance of performing this Matri Puja in front of all so that they would never forget to respect, love and care for their parents. This was an emotional and serene atmosphere which could pave the way to strengthen the bond between mother and child. Some parents and students came forward to share their unforgettable and blissful experience they had on that day.
