Swami Vivekananda Jayanti (National Youth Day) was celebrated at VKV – Tezu with traditional fervour and gaiety on 12th January at 10 am. Dr Sajinglu Chai Pul, the District Medical Officer and Ms Lui Shiba, EAC, Tezu were the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour to grace the occasion.

In his welcome address, Sri Suresh Kr Behera, the Principal of the school appealed the youth to spare their life for the welfare of the society, state and for their life in good cause in spite of wasting the valuable time in material happiness.

Dr S Chai Pul, DMO, the Chief Guest greeted the parents and students on the occasion of National Youth Day and asked them to be inspired from the life and message of Swami Vivekananda.

Guest of Honour, Ms Lui Shiba, the EAC, on her speech highlighted Swami Vivekananda’s work for the motherland and his spiritualism to the west. ‘Own culture is pride and one has to preserve it and respect to the women’ were the zest on her debut speech.

Students of the school exhibited colourful cultural show and District Level Traditional Dance and Drama Competition could leave the spectators spell bound.

Sri Krulesh Ngadong, the Nagar Pramukh, VK Arunjyoti, Tezu branch proposed vote of thanks to one and all present there.
