The Sadgamaya Shibir was held on 2nd October at the VKV, Tezu.

The Shibir was attended by 61 students including the students from GOVT. MIDDLE SCHOOL, NO – 3, TEZU.

The anchoring of the programme was done by Su Ami Billai.

The programme commenced with three “omkras “followed by Gita chanting.

Thereafter, lighting of lamp was done by the Chief Guest, Dr. Suchitra Kakoti, Principal Denning college of Teacher Education, Tezu, with invocation by the children.

This was followed by singing of shibir geet by the children of class-VIII.

The principal, Sri Suresh Kr. Behera, presented the welcome speech and highlighted the purpose of the camp.

This day being the Gandhi Jayanti too, a soulful bhajan “Raghupati Raghav..” was presented by the children of class V.

Next, the resource person Dr. S. Kakoti was felicitated and presented with a portrait of Swami Vivekananda. Thereafter the chief guest presented a speech on Personality Development. She urged the children to concentrate on the way they talk, behave, present their views, art of listening to others, self confidence, etc. The way you present yourself create good or bad impression on others, she said. Quoting of Swami Vivekananda, she said that everybody has some inborn quality in him/her, which needs to be developed fully. She advised the children to study the personalities of the great persons like Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, etc, and get inspired by them with self confidence and determination one can reach to great heights, she added.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Smt. Lalita Thapa. She extended her gratitude to the Chief Guest on behalf of VKV Tezu, for enlightening the children with valuable knowledge on personality development. She also appreciated the children for patiently listening to the speeches.

After the break all the children were divided into seven groups. Sri Ashokji, Nagar Sangathak, of Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti Tezu was the resource person for this programme.

After Sri Ashokji, Nagar Pramukha, VK Arunjyoti, Tezu was introduced to the children by the Principal, he showed a power- point presentation on the topic “PARIKSHA DE HASTE HASTE”. Sri Ashokji advised the children to face the examination with positive thoughts.

The post lunch session commenced with the singing of patriotic songs lead by Smt. Satabdi Roy.

The Principal explained about the meaning of patriotic songs and the Gita to the children. He also advised to keep in touch with Vivekananda Kendra, Arunjyoti, Tezu for learning more such activities.

Making of colourful crafts was taught by Smt. Jaswanti Kaur to the children.

Lastly, Krida yoga (games) was played by the children, led by Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti Karyakartas, Tezu, which was greatly enjoyed by the children. Thereafter feedback forms were filled by the children about the programmes. The day’s programmes concluded with Shanti Mantra.
