Vivekananda KendraVidyalaya,Oyan celebrated the 8th International Yoga day with great enthusiasm and gaiety by students, teachers, parents and officals.
Sri. Tadi Jonnam, BJP president, 37th Constituency, Pasighat East, graced the occasion as the chief guest.The programme included Lighting of lamp by the chief guest followed with mangalacharan, Welcome address by Sri.Rajib Prasad, Principal,VKV Oyan, Importance of the day delivered by Sri. Madan Sarkar, Vice-Principal and speech by the chief guest.
Yoga session was conducted which was attended by all. The yoga session started with 3 omkaras followed by prayer. The Yoga session was conducted as per thr common yoga protocol published by the Ministry of Ayush. The yoga session included loosening exercises, Suryanamaskar, Asanas and pranayama. The yoga session was winded up with prayer and sankalpa.
After the completion of Yoga session, a possession march of 6 km was carried out in the township area to create awareness among the common masses.
A team comprised of our school student and teachers participated in the oyan-sille circle level programmme organized by Oyan-sille Cirle office, Govt of A.P at Govt.Higher secondary school,Sille. Sri.Nitul Dutta,PET, VKV Oyan was yoga instructor of the programme. Yoga trained Students of VKVOyan volunteered the event helping and guiding the other school students, teachers, Village people’s and officials. Smt. Maloty Tamin,circle officer,Oyan-sille circle graced the event as cheif guest. Students of various schools, Teachers of various school, Govt.officals and village people attended the event.
A yoga competition was held for the parents of VKV Oyan. They need to perform yoga with their children and sent the photographs. The best yoga photography shall be awarded. Dayscholar Parents and children actively participated in the competition.
