Raksha Bandhan was celebrated in VKV Oyan on 14th August 2019. Raksha Bandhan literaaly means “ the bond of protection and care.On this day sisters tie a talisman or amulet called the rakhi around the wrists of their brothers investing the brothers with a share of responsibility of their potential care. In VKV Oyan the celebration was marked first by the importance of the day By Smt. Suman Das, Teacher of VKV Oyan. Then the sisters of VKV Oyan tied Rakhi to their brothers and the brothers inturn taking the pledge of protecting and caring her. Sweets were distributed adding sweetness to the day. Smt. Suman Das and Smt. Meeneka Upadhaya were the Overall Incharges of the celebration.
