This year on 15 August 2021 celebration of our 75th Independence Day was held in a mesmerizing way in the campus. The celebrations had actually started a few days prior to the Independence Day in the form of various competitions for the students. The school had organized fancy dress competition, solo and group song competition and quiz competition in virtual mode. Many students participated in the competitions. The results of the competitions were declared today. The video of the prize declarations was shared in all the class WhatsApp groups. To boost of feeling of oneness the Nation celebrates Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotav, as per circular issued by CBSE, all the students and staffs member of VKV Nivedita Vihar took Participated in rashtragaan and got 147 certificates.
The morning of the Independence Day in the school started with a grand morning assembly at exactly 7.00 am. All the teaching and non- teaching staffs along with their families gathered in the beautifully decorated ground .The flag hoisting was done by the Principal Smt. Nirmala Tamang. The national anthem was followed by a patriotic song presented by the teachers of the school. The Kendra Sankalpa for the year 2021 was also taken by all the staff members. There was a patriotic song competition for the teachers too.
The second part of the Celebration was the sports competitions for everyone residing in the campus, which was started with a colourful Balloon bursting competition by the children. The ladies enjoyed themselves during the musical chair competition. There was a football match for the gents. The winners and the participants were given prizes. The participants were given breakfast and refreshments. The event took place till 9.00 am.
The third part of the Celebration was the beautiful song presented in the district General ground by some of the teachers. Independence Day greetings, photos and videos were sent to all the class WhatsApp groups and the school alumni group.
Guru Purnima is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Ved Vyas, the author and a character in the epic Mahabharata. This auspicious day is dedicated to teachers and mentors. Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Nivedita VIHAR, celebrated Guru Purnima in every possible way. The Program was started sharp at 6 p.m. in the school prayer hall. All the teaching staff and three nonteaching staff celebrated the program. The students actively participated in the online Guru bhajan competition (Class VI- X) and greeting making competition(Class IV & V) that was conducted by the school.

The importance of the day was told by R.K. Dubey sir in the evening program. Teacher bhajan competitions was conducted where all the teaching and non-teaching staff took active participation and prizes were also given to them. We have conducted swadhaya on Man. Nivedita didi’s message on Guru Purnima and it was elaborately discussed by the teaching and non- teaching staff.
The program was concluded by offering Puspanjali and chanting the Shanti Mantra. After the program some photos of celebration were sent to all the WhatsApp group of Students, teachers and our alumni.

The 35th Statehood Day of Arunachal Pradesh has been celebrated all over the state on 20th February,2021.Our Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Nivedita Vihar had celebrated it by conducting'shramdaan'program. On 19th February ,with the guidance of the teachers,the students cleaned the school surrounding. On 20th February,class IV and V students participated In the program held by the communities in the general ground. They performed PT and a patriotic song.Remaining students in the hostel campus from class Vl-X participated In the'shramdaan 'program for 1hour in the hostel surrounding. Teachers also took part and cleaned the hostel surroundings. Wishes, greetings were sent to the teacher's whatsapp group, alumni members and school supporting groups. During the evening prayer a speech was given on the occasion of Statehood Day by one of class VIII student. This was indeed a unique way to celebrate this day which will develop love and serving attitude among the students

The auspicious ceremony of Saraswatl Puja was celebrated In the school premises on 16 February,2021with great fervor and devotion.All the teachers,non teachingstaff,well wishers andstudents gathered together at 8.30 am In the morningat the school premises to offer Puja to Goddess Saraswati • The puja was followed by other rituals such as Puspanjali, Mantrachar, Yagya,Aartiby all the members present over there All the students and other members participated In the rituals of the puja with great positivity and devotions.The fragrance of flowers,the shlokas articulated by the pandlt,burning camphor n lamps and the presence of Saraswatl Maa's dolfilled the school environment with peace and positivity.


Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in VKV Nivedita Vihar Campus. All the teaching, non-teaching staff along with family members and Vivekanandra kendra Vocational Centre Didi’s together attended the morning prayer at 6 am. As usual morning prayer was chanted and this was followed by the prayer “Raghupati Raghava Rajaram” lead by Mamta Didi. After that a speech was delivered regarding the importance of the day by Mayuri Didi. School principal Smt. Nirmala Didi also told few words regarding the value of the day and it was followed by the flower offering ceremony as a Shradhanjali and a sign of respect representing the birthday of the Father of the Nation.
All the teaching, non -teaching, family members and Centre Didi’s did shramdan for one hour from 7 am to 8 am by cleaning the hostel campus to offer Shradhanjali to our Father of Nation. The students from class VII to X were given tasks to clean nearby surroundings and the students from class IV to VI were asked to plant saplings of any trees in their surrounding and all of them were asked to send their images to their respective class teachers. The day ended with a thought in everybody’s mind that cleanliness is next to godliness and service to mankind is the first step towards reading it.
Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of involving students in the task of National Service Materialised on 24th September 1969. This day is observed as NSS Day in School and Colleges every year.
VKV Itanagar, NSS Unit conducted on online yoga session in the morning for the physical fitness of NSS volunteers.
A webinar in which Sri Vishwas Lapalkar, former Secretary of VKVs in Arunachal Pradesh spoke about the twin ideals of Renunciation and Service. Through ‘tyaga’ only ‘Service’ is possible. He said that Ramakrishna Math and Mission was founded by Swami Vivekananda in 1897 to serve the needy. The Aim of NSS is to develop personality of students through social service.
He also said that every human being is unique and each one has to develop into social man and Devine man. “Service to Man is Service to God”, should be the ideal of NSS volunteers. He advised the volunteers to serve the society without expecting any name or fame.
Sri Harinath Upadhyaya, Sanskrit Teacher of the Vidyalaya taught a patriotic song to the volunteers. Km. Manisha Yadav and Km. Anuja Rajendra Kakade presented invocation and closing prayer.
Dr. Kakade Rajendra Chhagan, Principal, Sri Uthaman VN, Programme Officer NSS also spoke on the occasion.
