On dated: 31st October 2014, the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel was celebrated with lot of enthusiasm. The various types of programmes and competitions were conducted to inculcate the feeling of nationalism in the students, who are the future generation of our country. Some of the events which are conducted in our school are :

Marathon
The participants are divided into three categories:
Sub-Junior Group (Class-III to V) = 52
Junior Group (Class-VI to VIII) = 44
Senior Group (Class-IX to X) = 40

At 5.10 a.m., the Flag off for marathon is done by the Principal. It is conducted from VKV-Kharsang to Innao village and back to school.

Pledge
As per the contents given by the government it is lead by Sri Ranjit Pradhan for the students and teachers in the school assembly. The total number of 422 students and 14 teachers has taken the pledge together.

Speech
In the school assembly, Shri Prasanjit Datta Roy, English Teacher of our instutitution delivered a speech on the life and messages of Sardar Vallabhai Patel. In his speech of twenty minutes he highlighted the role of Sardar Patel in the integration of India.

Patriotic song
The girl students of Class-X presented a melodious patriotic song in the school assembly after speech given by Shri Pransanjit Datta Ray.

Poster making
There was a poster making competition for all the students from Class-III to X. The students participated with full enthusiasm and shown their talent with innovative ideas of writing the thoughts and messages with the portrait of Sardar Patel. For this competition the students were divided in three categories :

Sub-Junior Group (Class-III to V) = 125
Junior Group (Class- VI to VIII) = 130
Senior Group (Class- IX & X) = 120

Quiz Competiton
A quiz competition related to Sardar Patel is conducted by Shri Ranjit Pradhan and Shri Putun Techi . There were four houses and each house had 4 participants. There was a neck to neck competition between three houses with a difference of one-one point from each other.

We feel that such activities are the useful learning process for the students and teachers also. These competitions will help us to produce a healthy and responsible citizen for our nation.
