Indigenous Faith day was celebrated at VKV-Kharsang in a grand manner on 1st December 2014. The Indigenous Faith Promotion Society of Changlang district and VKV-Kharsang celebrated this programme together at VKV-Kharsang.

Main Programs:

Rally: A rally was organised from GHSS-Kharsang to VKV-Kharsang via Geonpro Tinali at 9.30 a.m. VKV Kharsang Band team and students lead the rally of 1200 followers of Indigenous Faith from Miao, Bordumsa and Kharsang.  

Flag Hoisting and Oath Taking: Fag of Indigenous Faith was hoisted by the Chief Guest Shri Jokhong Singpho, ZPM, Miao. The students of VKV-Kharsang presented a patriotic song followed by “Oath taking” to promote and protect the rich Indigenous cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh.

Lecture Sessions (In the hall of VKV Kharsang):  Many Elder speakers of Tangsa, Buddhism, Singpho, Nocte, Wanchu, Adi and Galo have lighted the lamp in the front of BHARAT MATA’s photo, followed by speeches from above mentioned tribe elders. Shri J.Singpho, Chief Guest in his short speech explained the importance of Indigenous Faith for the development of our society and state.
